Nissan launches new, slightly cheaper model
The small electric city car will be built in France and made available in Norway and the rest of Europe.

When the Pixo is unveiled in a few weeks, the Nissan Micra electric car will become the senior model in Nissan’s electric lineup.
Nissan says the Pixo will be produced for the European market, built in France, and unveiled on September 23.
Back in the A-segment
In addition to the Micra, Nissan also introduced the third generation of its electric classic, the Leaf, last year.
The Japanese automaker will soon bring out the third generation of its crossover, the Juke — now electric — which is expected to arrive next year.
Nissan is keeping details about its upcoming electric city car under wraps for now, but it has indicated that it will reuse its old model name Pixo when re-entering the European market in at least the A-segment.
The electric Pixo is likely to share its platform with the upcoming Renault Twingo E-Tech.
In that case, it will feature an LFP battery with a capacity of 27.5 kilowatt-hours and an WLTP range of around 260 kilometers.
Nissan has not revealed any pricing information yet, but since the Micra starts at 260,000 kroner, we can assume that the cheapest version of the even smaller Pixo will cost just under or just over 200,000 kroner in Norway.
The Renault Twingo is also expected to arrive in Norway sometime during the next half year.
