Nissan unveils the new Pixo, a small electric city car

Nissan has just unveiled its new Pixo, a compact city car that expands its lineup of 100% electric vehicles. It will be available for purchase starting in December, with first deliveries expected in early 2027. With this model, Nissan aims to make electric mobility more accessible while fully asserting its brand identity. Developed specifically for the European market, the Nissan Pixo is designed for everyday urban driving. Its compact size and agility make it the ideal companion for navigating cities. Additionally, its bold exterior design gives it a striking appearance despite its small dimensions. Yet its compact size does not prevent its functional interior from being surprisingly spacious. Moreover, the Nissan Pixo is equipped with numerous connected technologies that enhance smart driving in urban areas.
Nissan Pixo, a car designed for urban driving
Based on the same platform as the Renault Twingo, the Nissan Pixo shares identical technical specifications. It features a 60 kW (82 hp) engine powered by an LFP battery with a capacity of 27.5 kWh, enabling up to 259 km of WLTP range. This is sufficient to provide Nissan Pixo owners with the confidence needed for all their daily trips. Its compact dimensions and short turning radius further simplify urban driving and parking. Charging has also been designed to fit seamlessly into daily life. The Nissan Pixo comes standard with 50 kW DC fast charging in all versions, allowing the battery to go from 15% to 80% charge in just 28 minutes. The 11 kW AC charging option makes home charging simple and convenient.
A compact size and a bold design

While the similarities to the Twingo are striking, Nissan still wanted to leave its own mark on the Pixo. It offers a new interpretation of Nissan’s styling language for compact electric vehicles. Its modern and avant-garde silhouette combines cube-inspired proportions with streamlined surfaces, giving the vehicle a bold appearance despite its compact dimensions (3.79 meters long, 1.79 meters wide). At the front, a distinctive visual signature and a grille that resembles a robot’s face endow it with an immediately recognizable personality. The Pixo also features more conventional headlights than those of the Twingo, which do not protrude from the body. The Pixo’s contemporary color palette further enhances its urban and youthful character, allowing customers to express their individuality.
A functional and surprisingly spacious cabin

Benefiting from an intelligent design that optimizes interior space, the Pixo’s cabin is particularly functional. The sliding, independent rear seats enhance the vehicle’s versatility, providing additional storage space for bulky items when needed. With the seats folded up, the trunk volume reaches 356 liters, the best in its class. This space includes a 50-liter compartment under the floor for storing cables. Nissan demonstrates that compactness does not necessarily mean a lack of practicality. In fact, despite the Pixo’s small size, its cabin is surprisingly spacious, capable of comfortably accommodating up to four adults. Its functionality is also reflected in the 7-inch instrument cluster and touchscreen display.

Through these screens, the connected technology in the Nissan Pixo makes urban driving smarter. It was designed primarily to simplify daily driving. Thus, the integrated Google offers intuitive navigation, real-time route planning, and simplified connectivity. The MyNissan app and connected services allow managing charging and vehicle functions from a single interface. Additionally, Google Gemini AI assistant further enhances the connected experience by providing personalized assistance on every journey. Through natural voice interaction, Gemini handles navigation, entertainment, and communication. Over time, Gemini learns the driver’s preferences to create a highly personalized in-vehicle experience. Facial recognition also adds value
