New Mobility Experience 2026: over 500 test drives and 100 vehicles at the EV Light Show

New Mobility Experience with tests

The heart of the New Mobility Experience was the test driving area. Attendees made over 500 drives through Łódź’s streets – not on a closed track, but in regular traffic, where it’s easiest to experience the advantages of silent and smooth electric drive performance, instant access to maximum torque, and zero emissions.

To choose from, in various colors

There were nearly 30 different electric vehicles to choose from: urban cars like the Renault 5 E-TECH and BYD Dolphin Surf, SUVs and crossovers, pick-ups, as well as vans and larger models such as the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, Maxus eTerron, and Ford E-Transit Courier. Brands like EXLANTIX, BYD, Tesla, Ford, Renault, Volkswagen, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, GAC, Geely, and Maxus were represented on site.

This Is Not a Vision, It’s Everyday Reality

“We deliberately organize the New Mobility Experience Urban Edition in the heart of the city, not on a closed track. It is only within urban daily life that one can see electric mobility isn’t some distant vision, but something tangible — something you can sit behind the wheel and experience firsthand. Over 500 test drives in just two days show that people in Łódź want to see this for themselves,” said Łukasz Witkowski, Vice President of the Polish Association for New Mobility.

The New Mobility Experience was launched by Adam Wieczorek, vice president of Łódź. The event’s special guest was Miko Marczyk, European rally champion, who shared his experiences from the latest round of the European Rally Championships as well as his insights on using electric vehicles.

Discussions on Electromobility

For two days, on the stage and in the expert zones of New Mobility Experience, discussions focused on the issues that most concern drivers and potential users of electric vehicles. Together with MOYA energia, discussions took place about the needs and challenges related to charging infrastructure in Poland. Experts from AAA Auto advised on what to consider when purchasing an electric car, while representatives from EV Repair Network talked about the most common faults and actual repair costs for electric vehicles. A separate segment titled “Facts vs. Myths” compared the most popular opinions about electromobility with the experiences of professionals and drivers themselves.

There were also attractions suitable for whole families. The youngest visitors could enjoy animations, bowling, a zip line park, and a bike town. Those seeking thrilling automotive experiences could test themselves on a rollover simulator and racing simulators that combined fun with safety education. There was also a health zone where basic health checks could be performed.

In the evening, electric mobility showed its impressive side. As part of the New Mobility Experience, a nationwide EV Klub Polska gathering was organized, bringing owners of electric vehicles from across the country to Łódź. The highlight of the event was the EV Light Show – the largest synchronized audio-visual display in Poland, featuring 100 vehicles. The event concluded with an outdoor movie under the stars.

Year after year, we see growing interest in electromobility, and events like these provide an excellent opportunity for residents to not only drive various electric car models but also talk to their actual users. It is precisely this direct contact with the technology and drivers’ experiences that best helps people understand what electromobility is like in everyday use – said Łukasz Lewandowski, President of the EV Klub Polska Foundation.

The New Mobility Experience 2026 Łódź took place on August 21–22, 2026, at the Manufaktura market. Admission was free and open to everyone interested in new mobility solutions. The event was organized by the Polish Association for New Mobility (PSNM) and the EV Klub Polska Foundation. It was co-funded by the Łódź city budget. The Łódź edition served as the finale to the nationwide New Mobility Experience tour, following previous events in Gdańsk and Toruń Modlin.
