Fiat is expanding its lineup of electric Topolino models: The new Topolino Dolcevita is available in Germany with a foldable fabric roof. It remains classified as a lightweight four-wheeled vehicle in EU category L6e.
The new body style does not change the key performance specifications relevant to its intended use. Fiat specifies an electric motor with 6 kW/8.2 HP, a top speed of 45 km/h, and a range of up to 75 kilometers according to the WMTC standard. The battery’s rated capacity is 5.4 kWh. Charging is done via a standard household outlet, with Fiat claiming a charging time of less than four hours.

At 2,535 meters in length, the Topolino remains designed for short urban routes. Its combination of low battery capacity, limited top speed, and charging via standard Schuko outlets sets it apart technically and regulatorily from battery-electric cars.

The Topolino can be driven as an electric light vehicle (L6e) by teenagers aged 15 and above who hold an AM class driver’s license. Fiat offers the convertible version in Germany, along with the closed model, for new orders starting at 9990 euros.
