Mercedes C 300 4Matic electric version available for order at 62,951 euros

Mercedes-Benz is expanding its lineup of the new electric C-Class: Starting now, the C 300 4Matic is also available for order in Germany as an electric version. The new all-wheel-drive model costs 62,951 euros, which is 4,760 euros less than the C 400 4Matic electric version that has been available since May.
The C 300 4Matic produces 310 kW (422 hp) and uses two electric motors for all-wheel drive. The usable battery capacity is 85 kWh, which is lower than that of the C 400 4Matic with its 94-kWh battery pack. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed limited to 210 km/h. The range is up to 690 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. The combined electricity consumption varies depending on the configuration, ranging from 14.1 kWh/100 km onward.
The electrical architecture is designed for high charging speeds: The C 300 4Matic is rated for a maximum DC charging power of 320 kW, with the charging process from 10% to 80% taking just 22 minutes under optimal conditions. According to Mercedes, up to 290 kilometers of range can be restored in ten minutes. The electric C-Class is based on an 800-volt architecture. For comparison, the C 400 4Matic offers a maximum DC charging power of up to 330 kW, according to Mercedes-Benz.
With the C 300 4Matic, Mercedes-Benz expands the price range within its electric C-Class without sacrificing all-wheel drive. The gap compared to the more powerful C 400 4Matic is greater in terms of performance, battery size, and range than it is in terms of base price: the top model delivers 360 kW (489 horsepower) and, according to the manufacturer, can cover up to 762 kilometers on the WLTP cycle with its 94-kWh battery.
The model lineup is still in the process of being developed. Mercedes-Benz had already announced additional versions with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as well as different battery sizes, at the world premiere. An additional rear-wheel drive model with an estimated WLTP range of around 800 kilometers was scheduled for a later release.
