MAN TGE: Production in Poznan is growing. New plant from MAN Individual

Custom MAN Trucks
The MAN TGE delivery truck is attracting increasing interest from customers seeking customized vehicles, leading to concrete investment decisions in Poland. MAN Individual has decided to build a new production facility in Poznan, which will replace the current site in Sadach. Thanks to this new investment, the production area will more than double, with operations set to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
Rapid Growth in Demand for Customized Delivery Trucks
Customers seeking commercial vehicles increasingly expect factory modifications tailored to their industry’s specific needs. According to the manufacturer, production of MAN TGE vehicles with custom modifications has increased nearly fivefold since 2022. While just over 1,000 such units left the production line in 2022, production volume exceeded 5,000 vehicles by 2025. It’s worth noting that the entire range of this delivery vehicle model is achieving market success, with total MAN TGE production surpassing 100,000 units in 2023.
The existing facility in Sadach could no longer meet current order volumes and offered no prospects for further expansion. Official construction of the new factory in Poznan began on October 22, 2026. The project is being carried out in partnership with Prologis, a company specializing in logistics and industrial real estate.
The New Factory in Poznan: Area and Capabilities
The new infrastructure in Poznan is designed to provide the technical foundation for further development of MAN Individual’s product range. Moving to this new location represents a significant scale-up in operations:
Production area: will increase to around 3,600 m² (an increase of 120% compared to Sadach),
Office area: will expand to about 1,000 m² (an increase of 200%),
Logistics support: a dedicated parking lot for 360 MAN TGE vehicles will be created.
Employment: The facility was designed to accommodate up to 150 employees.
The new location within Poznań is also intended to improve access for workers by providing better connections to public transportation.
What exactly is MAN Individual preparing?
The scope of work carried out by MAN Individual includes advanced technical and functional modifications as well as styling packages. The brand portfolio features the basic MAN TGE Individual Black Package, the Individual Lion S line, and the new Individual Lion X equipment option. In addition to visual modifications, customers also order technical adjustments to vehicles for more demanding tasks in this category.
The most commonly chosen solutions include pneumatic suspension, raised suspension, preparation for installing a liftgate (useful especially in camper vans or specialized vehicles), swivel seats, and selected packages that enhance performance. Additionally, production of the MAN TGE Combi models, which have been manufactured in Sadach to date, will continue in Poznan, with these vehicles leaving the new assembly lines starting from the second quarter of 2027.
MAN’s Product Development and Large Orders
The expansion of MAN’s plant in Poland coincides with the continuous expansion of the German brand’s range of commercial vehicles. In the heavy-duty segment, MAN is developing new powertrains, introducing the D13 engine with up to 540 horsepower, designed for construction or oversized transport tasks. In the delivery vehicle sector, the manufacturer is achieving success in public and fleet order markets by fulfilling contracts for vehicles used in crew transportation and command vehicles, with the first prototypes scheduled for late 2025 and 2026, with series production continuing until 2027.

Implications for the Market
The decision to relocate and expand the facility from Sadów to Poznań reflects a clear trend in the commercial vehicle industry. Customers increasingly seek customized vans rather than standard models without additional equipment, and rising demands for specialized modifications force manufacturers to establish dedicated modification centers. Increasing production capacity in Poland will help reduce waiting times for customized vehicles and strengthen Poznań’s role as a production hub within MAN Truck & Bus’s operations.
