Mahindra’s Charge_iN network expands and opens first EV station with HPCL

Charge_iN by Mahindra has reached 200 live EV charging points across India. Mahindra plans to scale Charge_iN to 250 stations across India with approximately 1000 charging points by December 2027. The company also opened its HP Auto Care Centre, in Sajgaon, Pune – Expressway as the first Charge_iN station to become operational under Mahindra's collaboration with HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway.

Indian charging company Charge_iN, a subsidiary of the automotive giant Mahindra, has announced milestones and the expansion of its charging network. The first site in the company’s collaboration with HPCL went live along the Mumbai-Pune expressway. The collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) was announced in March 2026 to roll out EV charging infrastructure across India, leveraging HPCL’s nationwide fuel station network.

The Charge_iN subsidiary was announced in November 2025, following Mahindra’srecord-setting year of electric car sales in 2024. The company announced the expansion of its ultrafast public EV charging network to 50 live locations across India.With the most recently installed public charging station for electric cars, the network now extends across one of India’s busiest intercity corridors.

Charge_iN stations exclusively operate 180 kW dual-gun chargers. These are capable of charging Mahindra’s electric SUV, the XEV 9e and the followingmodels built on the same ‘INGLO’platform.

The charging subsidiary has said it now operates 200 charging stations across India, but also that Mahindra EV owners can access approximately 35 000 public charging points across the country. These include HP eCharge Stations across various Charge Point Operators through the Me4U app.
