Lucid finally arrives in France with its electric cars featuring XXL range.

The American automaker will make its official debut in our country during the International Motor Show. Visitors will be able to see the Air sedan and the Gravity SUV.

Lucid confirms its entry into the French market by announcing a partnership with Emil Frey France’s import division, a leader in vehicle distribution in France.

While the date for taking orders and making initial deliveries is not yet known, the first step will be introducing the brand at the International Motor Show from October 12 to 18, 2026, in Paris.

The French public will finally be able to get a close look at the Air sedan and the Gravity SUV, two high-end electric models. These vehicles boast long driving ranges. The Air model, in its Grand Touring version, can achieve up to 960 km on mixed WLTP cycles! The base Pure model already has a range of 831 km. On the SUV side, the range reaches up to 739 km.

Although Lucid was founded in 2007, production of its first model began in 2021. Launched initially in North America, the brand made a quiet entry into the European market, where it has been available so far in Belgium, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

"France is one of Europe’s most important automotive markets and represents a key pillar of Lucid’s expansion strategy," said Lawrence Hamilton, Lucid’s President for Europe. This entry will come as Lucid prepares a more compact and affordable SUV, better suited to our regions. It is set to launch in 2027.

In a statement, the company said it “retains full responsibility for its brand, business strategy, and customer experience, while Emil Frey France, through its Import division and the expertise of its teams, will provide customized operational services and help establish distribution infrastructure to meet customers’ needs as closely as possible.”
