Leapmotor enters Indonesia with locally assembled B10 and C10

Leapmotor has simultaneously launched the B10 and C10 as its first models in Indonesia. It is offering both SUVs as locally assembled models from day one.
The company has appointed PT Indomobil National Distributor, a subsidiary of Indomobil Group, as its local distributor. PT National Assemblers, also a subsidiary of Indomobil Group, is assembling the B10 and C10 from imported knocked-down kits in Purwakarta, West Java. Leapmotor says that all its vehicles sold in the country will be assembled by PT National Assemblers, indicating the same plan for future models.
Indonesian customers can buy the B10 in only one variant, featuring a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 160 kW and 240 Nm of torque, along with a 67.1 kWh LFP battery pack that supports charging at up to 11 kW (AC)/168 kW (DC). This setup allows the compact SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 8.0 seconds, achieve a top speed of 170 kph, and travel 516 kilometres on a single charge, as per NEDC.
Leapmotor sells the B10 in a single generously equipped trim, priced at 499 million Indonesian rupiah (€24,225 euros). It includes features such as full-LED headlights and tail lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, an electric tailgate, electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation and heating functions, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker sound system, a 64-colour ambient lighting system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and 16 advanced driver assistance systems.
The company has adopted the same strategy for the C10 as well, offering it in only one power-electric variant and a single well-equipped trim, priced at 618 million Indonesian rupiah (€30,002 euros). A permanent magnet synchronous motor generating 165 kW and 360 Nm of torque drives the rear wheels. A 69.9 kWh LFP battery pack powers this motor, and it is chargeable at up to 11 kW (AC) / 120 kW (DC).
This configuration gives the C10 a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 7.5 seconds, a top speed of 180 km/h, and an NEDC range of 478 km. Leapmotor has equipped the C10 with 20-inch alloy wheels, sequential turn indicators (rear), a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, transparent chassis and wheel view, and several more better/additional features to distinguish it from the B10.
Indonesia is Leapmotor’s fourth market in the ASEAN region, following Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. The brand is seeing strong growth globally, with its year-to-date sales reaching 457,754 units at the end of July, up 68.42 per cent year-on-year.
