The Leapmotor B05 is on display in Porto. All prices

The Leapmotor B05 is set to be a tough competitor for European brands, and it can already be seen in person at the SAHE in Alfândega do Porto.
Falling into the C-segment, the Leapmotor B05 positions itself as an electric alternative to traditional compact cars, without resorting to the “trendy” SUV body style.
With a length of 4.43 meters, width of 1.88 meters, height of 1.52 meters, and a wheelbase of 2.735 meters, the B05 enters the market to compete with strong rivals such as the Volkswagen ID.3 NEO, Renault Megane E-Tech, Peugeot E-308, and the new KIA EV4.
To achieve this, it has a clear mission: to combine ample space and plenty of features at a price as low as those offered by vehicles in lower segments. The new Leapmotor B05 is on display at the Hybrid and Electric Automobile Show (SAHE) in Alfândega do Porto.

Over 400 km of range
Leapmotor’s new compact family car is built on the LEAP 3.5 platform, the same one used in the B10 SUV, for example.
The B05 comes in two versions. While the electric motor delivers consistent power of 160 kW (218 hp) and 240 Nm of torque, the same cannot be said for the batteries, whose capacity varies depending on the version.
The B05 Life uses a 56 kWh battery, offering just over 400 km of range. The Design version, equipped with a 67.1 kWh battery, claims a maximum range of 482 km.

In both versions, AC charging delivers up to 11 kW of power, while DC charging provides a maximum power of 174 kW. In practice, this means it takes about 17 minutes to charge the battery from 30% to 80%.
What is the starting price?
The Leapmotor B05 is now available for order, with prices starting at 26,787 euros. The Design version, which is better equipped and has a longer range, is slightly more expensive, available from 30,787 euros.
