Leapmotor B03X: Price starting at 94,900 PLN for 39.8 kWh and 104,400 PLN for 53 kWh. An electric Toyota Yaris Cross, just from China

Leapmotor has announced the prices in Poland for the Leapmotor B03X, a model known in China as the Leapmotor A10. The vehicle is available with two battery capacities, and as part of a promotion, it costs 94,900 złoty for the 39.8 kWh package and 104,400 złoty for the 53 kWh battery. This confirms the estimates by Elektrowozu’s editorial team that the car will be priced competitively with its gasoline counterparts, such as the Toyota Yaris Cross mentioned earlier. But the distributor goes even further: the price of the Leapmotor B03X ends where the cost of purchasing a gasoline Toyota begins.

Leapmotor B03X: Prices and Specifications

The Leapmotor B03X (4.27 m long, 2.605 m wheelbase) is available in two versions: the EV Pro with a smaller battery offering 292 WLTP miles of range, and the EV Promax with a larger battery providing 382 WLTP miles of range, or up to 326 kilometers in urban or urban-suburban driving conditions. The 39.8 (~38) kWh version is powered by an engine with 130 kW/177 HP, while the 53 (~51) kWh version features an engine with 145 kW/197 HP; in both cases, the front wheels are driven with a torque of 200 Nm.

The 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 8.6 seconds for both versions, with the smaller-battery version being exactly 100 kilograms lighter (1.525 tons) than the EV Promax version (1.625 tons). The charging time from 30% to 80% is 16 minutes.

There are two trim levels for the Leapmotor B03X: the basic Life and the more luxurious Design. With a smaller battery, only the Life version is available. As part of the promotion, the fully equipped Leapmotor B03X EV Promax 53 (~51) kWh Design costs 112,900 złoty, which is almost the same as the second least expensive trim option in the Toyota Yaris Cross with its weakest 116 HP engine (Comfort, starting at 111,200 zł; source). Essentially, the only additional cost comes from paint colors—any color other than the standard Acorn Brown costs 2,700 złoty:

Leapmotor closely observed its Japanese competitors while designing its vehicle. The rear seat backrest can be positioned vertically in the car (compare to: Honda Jazz). Even in the base model (Life), it comes equipped with a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, automatic climate control, rain sensor, NFC key, front camera, and rear parking sensors, manually adjustable seats, 4 USB ports (2x front + 2x rear), V2L power output, LED headlights and lights, a mobile app for remote climate control, an alarm system, adaptive cruise control, and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

When purchasing the Design version, the range of additional features reaches astonishing levels for this segment, as it includes 360-degree cameras, 12 speakers for 7.1 surround sound, skai upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and even a video recorder function using the built-in cameras.
