The price of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross drops below 30,000 euros
Thanks to its production in France and its new 67 kWh battery, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross electric SUV is available at a starting price of 29,990 euros when purchased outright, or through an installment plan with no down payment over 37 months at just 359 euros per month.
5,000 euros cheaper than the Scenic E-Tech
Available in France for a year now with a large 87 Wh NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) battery, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, which shares the same platform as the Renault Scenic E-Tech, is now available here with an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery pack offering 67 kWh of energy capacity. This makes it more accessible to a wider range of drivers.
Thus, thanks to French manufacturing at the Douai (59) plant and the European origin of the battery, its price starts at 29,990 euros after deducting the minimum EU subsidy of 4,800 euros and 6,600 euros in customer benefits. For comparison, the Renault Scenic E-Tech with a smaller battery is listed at 35,160 euros after accounting for a subsidy of 4,830 euros.
This still results in a price that is over 5,000 euros lower, and perhaps as an added bonus, better service at “less crowded” dealerships. It should be noted that for lower-income households, the EU subsidy can reduce the price to a maximum of 8,000 euros with Mitsubishi and 8,240 euros with Renault.
Until the end of September 2026, the Japanese manufacturer offers an LLD starting at 359 euros, with no down payment, over 37 months and up to 30,000 kilometers.
New NMC 89 kWh Battery
With the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 67 kWh model featuring an 11 kW AC charger, its WLTP mixed-cycle range is 472 km. At fast chargers, under optimal conditions, it takes 24 minutes at a maximum power of 165 kW to charge the battery from 15% to 80%. This model is approved to tow a braked trailer up to 1.1 tonnes.
The higher-end version also sees updates, as the NMC battery capacity increases by 2 units to 89 kWh. The range improves to 650 km compared to the previous 635 km. With a charging rate of up to 150 kW, it would take no more than 28 minutes to charge from 15% to 80%.
Whether it has a small or large battery, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross’ electric motor can deliver up to 220 horsepower (162 kW).
With a capacity of over 89 kWh, starting at 33,590 euros (after deducting a 4,800 euro EU subsidy and 6,600 euros in customer benefits), the onboard AC charger ranges from 22 kW depending on the trim level.
Notably, there is a partnership with Ionity that offers preferential rates, including 6 months of free trial and a reduced price per kilowatt-hour.
