The first electric Range Rover is finally here, with a range of 600 km.

Range Rover finally introduces its first electric model, based on its flagship vehicle. Despite its bulky and aerodynamically inefficient design, a large battery ensures a range of 600 kilometers.

When the latest generation of Range Rover was unveiled at the end of 2021, the brand announced the arrival of a 100% electric variant. It was originally scheduled for… 2024. However, the project kept facing delays, seemingly stretching on indefinitely. As of September 2, 2026, the vehicle is finally available!

The Range Rover enters a new era, but it won’t be immediately obvious. In fact, the electric model is almost identical to the rest of the range. The brand has simply tweaked a few elements to slightly improve aerodynamics: the grille, wheels, and underbody. The model is available in two lengths.

It’s equipped with two electric motors, each producing 260 kW, for a total maximum power of 550 horsepower. The maximum torque is 850 Nm. Under the hood lies a large 118.5 kWh battery (usable capacity), which enables a range of 600 kilometers.

The advantage is that the long development time allowed the brand’s engineers to adopt cutting-edge technologies. The model features an 800V architecture, enabling fast charging at up to 350 kW. This allows it to reach 10% to 80% charge in just 22 minutes, with 220 km of range available after 10 minutes.

Even in fully electric form, this Range Rover aims to remain a benchmark in off-road capability, consistently able to navigate through 90 cm deep water crossings. The brand highlights an advantage of electric vehicles: Integrated Traction Management (ITM) adjusts motor speeds in just 50 milliseconds and controls wheel spin up to 100 times faster than a comparable gasoline vehicle. The One Pedal mode supports off-road use by assisting with starting on slopes up to 33°. Another advantage is its silence, which contributes to the comfort of this luxury-oriented 4×4.

The starting price for the electric version is 161,500 €. The good news is that there are no more penalty fees!
