Germany under attack, the nightmare continues

Reports of new incidents continue to appear on social media. A sector consultant, Martin Schwarz, for example, posted images of a raid at a Vattenfall station in Brieselang near Berlin on LinkedIn. “Again and again and again...,” he wrote. “All six ABB Terra 360 cables were cut. The entire site is out of service until new cables are installed (and calibrated tests are conducted). It’s a nightmare for the operator, causing revenue loss, and great inconvenience for customers. Does this act of sabotage fall under critical infrastructure laws?” In the comments, Vattenfall stated that it is already working to replace the removed cables with ones equipped with anti-theft reinforcement.

The frustration over these incidents grows when it is realized that the perpetrators of such criminal raids are almost never identified or punished.
