Scott has done it again: installing one of his special suspension systems that hide the shock absorber itself, resulting in a very clean aesthetic that is becoming a hallmark of the Givisiez brand from Switzerland.
The new E-Ville is an urban bike, though it comes in an interesting SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) variant. In cycling terms, this refers to bikes designed primarily for urban use but that, thanks to various components like knobby tires and suspensions, can also handle poor road conditions and even dirt paths, expanding their range of use almost as far as we desire.

Aluminum frame with a single design
We’ve seen this recently: urban-style bikes hitting the market all come with a frame design that lacks a top tube. There are no different options offered, as most users prefer those without a top tube, as they’re much more practical for navigating cities.

The E-Ville features an aluminum frame with top-notch finishes (internal wiring, polished welds) and a removable battery on the left side. As we’ve mentioned, it includes a special rear suspension system where the shock absorber is hidden within the frame itself. This setup provides 100 mm of travel, which is sufficient.

Ahead, we find a fork that offers different track widths depending on the model chosen: 100 mm on the urban model (E-Ville 20) and 120 mm on the SUV model (E-Ville 10 SUV). Other details: we mentioned earlier the 29'' wheels with a slight rise on the SUV model, but what stands out is the use of a telescopic stem, which is extremely practical for stopping at a traffic light or stop sign, allowing us to lower the saddle to rest our feet on it.

Finally, it’s worth highlighting the adjustable grip strength mechanism, which allows us to position the handlebars where it suits us best to enhance comfort or handling, depending on the type of cycling we want to practice. Mounted on this mechanism in the E-Ville 10 SUV are a full Bosch Kiox 300 display and a powerful Lezyne headlight. In the E-Ville 20, the Bosch Purion 200 display is placed on the handlebars, while the headlight is mounted on the fork bridge.

Motor: zero complications
Scott has sought equal amounts of power and reliability, and in that regard, the Bosch Performance Line CX is perfect. It offers more than enough power for the type of bike it’s designed for (750 W, 120 Nm), and moreover, thanks to its Smart System ecosystem, it can be fully customized through the Bosch App.
On the other hand, it’s equipped with the powerful PowerTube batteries of 800 Wh (E-Ville 10 SUV) and 720 Wh (E-Ville 20) from the German brand. With either of these, we can cover many kilometers, and they can be easily recharged since they’re removable.
2 options: 'onroad' and 'offroad'
Well, talking about off-road capabilities on these bikes means saying a lot, but it’s true that the E-Ville 10 SUV model can handle short trips in rural areas thanks to its suspension system (the front fork has 120 mm travel and is of fairly high quality) and wheels with larger tires for better grip. The E-Ville 10 is designed for urban use, though larger-tire wheels could be installed on it in the future and....
The SUV model features well-balanced suspensions supplied by RockShox, while the urban model uses Suntour suspensions. Both models come equipped with a high level of standard features, including a full set of lights, a rear rack (capable of carrying up to 20 kg of load), a jack, fenders... Prices: the Scott E-Ville 10 SUV costs 5,399 euros, and the E-Ville 20 costs 4,599 euros. For more information, visit: Scott E-Ville
