Kia offers an alternative for those who don’t want a typical SUV: starting at 19,860 €, with an ECO rating and 426 liters of trunk space.

Kia has positioned the XCeed at an especially attractive price point. The ECO version is now listed at 19,410 euros on the brand’s official website, reinforcing its role as an option for those looking for an electric vehicle without needing to plug in.
This offer applies to the Kia XCeed Concept 1.0 T-GDi MHEV with 115 horsepower and a manual transmission. Its 48-volt system allows it to display the DGT’s ECO badge, while the range also includes a gasoline version with identical power output that is cheaper but lacks the advantages of microhybrid technology.
115 horsepower and ECO badge for 19,410 euros
The main difference lies in the inclusion of a 48-volt mild hybrid system. It doesn’t turn the XCeed into a hybrid capable of traveling long distances solely on electricity, but it does allow the gasoline engine to assist under certain conditions and, most importantly, enables the vehicle to achieve an ECO rating.
In addition, its operation requires no changes in driving habits from the driver. There’s no need to plug it in or find a charging station, as the vehicle itself manages the energy used by the electrical system.
Currently, Kia España lists this 115 HP MHEV version starting at 19,410 euros with the Concept trim. The next tier, Drive, begins at 20,710 euros, while Tech and Emotion raise the price to 22,510 and 25,610 euros respectively. There is also an MHEV version with 115 HP and a DCT automatic transmission available from 22,310 euros.
The price is particularly significant because it brings this ECO-rated version below 20,000 euros, a figure that becomes increasingly rare when looking for a new crossover with some level of electrification.
More crossover than compact
The XCeed features one of Kia’s most distinctive designs in its lineup. It is based on a compact vehicle but comes with a raised body style and a crossover aesthetic aimed at attracting customers who desire the appearance and driving position of an SUV without needing to switch to a larger car.
Kia has also updated its design with changes to the hood, grille, and bumpers, along with new LED headlights featuring the brand’s Star Map lighting signature. The silhouette maintains a lower and more dynamic roof line compared to conventional SUVs. Practicality remains another of its strengths. Kia claims a trunk space of up to 426 liters, which is quite substantial given its size and sufficient to rival what some compact SUVs offer.
Two 12.3-inch screens
There are also significant changes inside the vehicle. The dashboard has been redesigned and now can accommodate a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster along with another 12.3-inch screen for the multimedia and navigation system, creating a much more modern display.
Among the available technological features is Digital Key 2.0, which allows using a compatible smartphone to unlock, lock, and start the vehicle, as well as digitally sharing access to the car with others. The Kia app also enables users to check certain functions and locate the vehicle from their phone.
In this way, the XCeed remains positioned halfway between two worlds. It is taller and has a more adventurous image than a conventional compact car, but it avoids the size—and usually the price—of many larger SUVs.
And now it has another advantage: the 115 hp microhybrid ECO version is priced at 19,410 euros, eliminating the need for a home charger or worry about plugging it in every time it’s used.
