The Kia PV5 is available in a 7-seater version for large families. Starting at 193,900 PLN for the Business version with a battery of ~74 (71.2) kWh.

Kia has released the pricing for the Kia PV5, a passenger minivan that is available only in a 7-seater version for the 2027 model year. The vehicle costs from 193,900 złoty in the basic Business version to 214,600 złoty in the Pro Plus variant. If someone doesn’t need a car for 6–7 people, they can purchase the 5-seater model from the 2026 model year sale, which, even with good equipment, is available at prices around 165,000 to 170,000 złoty.

Kia PV5 7-seater, prices, and equipment
Let’s start with an important caveat: the Kia PV5 is a van that has also been produced in a passenger version. Its main target audience—companies needing vans—is evident everywhere; the interior features plenty of hard plastics but also practical storage compartments. The PV5 makes up for this with its low price, especially during sales. Fortunately, the electric drive means the interior isn’t as noisy as that of a diesel van that has undergone a similar conversion (such as the VW Transporter).

If someone needs a model where the comfort of passenger occupants is given higher priority, they will be interested in the more expensive VW ID. Buzz. And if someone wants a model designed from the ground up as solely a passenger vehicle, they will start by looking at the Xpeng X9. Or the gasoline-powered Lexus LM, which is… twice as expensive as the Xpeng.

The Xpeng X9 starts at over 300,000 złotys, but it was designed primarily as a passenger car.
A major advantage of the Kia PV5 is its well-thought-out architecture (E-GMP.S), which allows seven seats in the cabin and some trunk space to fit within a vehicle that is 4,695 meters long with a wheelbase of 2,995 meters. In other words: the PV5 is nearly 10 centimeters shorter than the Tesla Model Y, has three rows of seats, and still has 350 liters of trunk space behind them. The upcoming Kia PV7 will offer even more space.
The best part is that thanks to the flat floor, at least one piece of luggage can be placed between the driver and front passenger—for our example (PV5, 5-seater), it was an improvised carrier made from a large box for this accidentally rescued poor soul:

Poor thing. The photos and visuals show the 5-seater version. The interior layout of the 7-seater version is only shown in the price list.

In the 5-seater version, there’s enough space in the second row of seats to play soccer there. From the mounting track layout, we can infer that the 7-seater version offers slightly less legroom for passengers in the second row, so those in the third row can also sit comfortably there.
Kia PV5 7-seater: Prices and features
The vehicle is available with two battery capacities: ~54 (51.5) and ~74 (71.2) kWh. The latter offers a range of 397 WLTP units, and based on our experience, this figure remains close to reality when driving primarily on highways. We covered the distance from Żnin to Warsaw without stopping to charge, having driven around a bit in the area before departure and making up some extra distance due to the need for a short break. Additional passengers, if any, will only reduce the actual range slightly.
The 7-seater version has a 2+2+3 seating arrangement, so it’s most comfortable for 6 people. As part of the Business trim, standard features include isofix anchors in the 2nd and 3rd rows, LED lights (except for turn signals), rear and front parking sensors plus a reverse camera, several storage compartments (behind the steering wheel, in the middle, etc.), adaptive cruise control, single-zone climate control, sliding side doors, software based on the Android Automotive system (as a substitute for Pleos), battery pre-warming before charging, and a heat pump.
The high beams and fog lights are just average. They illuminate, but they’re far from being adaptive matrix headlights.
The Pro version (starting at 200,100 zł) seems like a more sensible purchase, as it includes additional features such as a heated steering wheel and seats, including in the third row, sliding windows on the side doors, an inductive phone charger, electrically operated side doors, and the ability to supply power to external devices (V2L/V2D). All variants use a 400 V architecture and take about 30 minutes to charge the battery to 80 percent, which may be the biggest factor deterring purchases aside from trunk capacity with three rows of seats.

Editor’s note from Elektrowozu: We were a bit surprised that the car attracted so much attention. It’s only in the parking lot that you realize it might be due to its completely different appearance and well-hidden headlights.
