Kia EV2: Up to 10,100 € in purchase subsidies for the compact electric SUV

Just launched, the EV2 already comes with a discount. This is in addition to substantial EU subsidies. As a result, the model starts at under 20,000 €!

After introducing the EV3 in 2025, Kia continues to expand its electric lineup with the EV2, a compact SUV measuring 4.06 meters in length. One of its advantages is its competitive pricing, as the vehicle starts at 26,670 € in our market.

The good news is that the EV2 is assembled in Europe, so it has already earned its eco-score, allowing customers to benefit from enhanced EU subsidies. With the smaller 42.2 kWh battery, the subsidy ranges from 3,500 to 6,100 euros depending on income and household composition. With the larger 61 kWh battery, it ranges from 4,700 to 8,100 euros (the subsidy is higher because this battery is produced in Europe).

But that’s not all. Shortly after its launch, the EV2 is available at discounted prices! The discount is 2,000 euros this time for the entire range. Thus, with the larger battery, the total subsidy can reach 10,100 euros! Even with the smaller subsidy, it still amounts to 6,700 euros.

For the entry-level model, with a maximum total cost of 8,100 €, the price drops to 18,570 €, which is an excellent deal for a small electric SUV that already comes fully equipped standard with adaptive cruise control, hands-free access, front/rear radars, and a 12.3-inch screen. Its range is 317 km, sufficient for daily use and making this EV2 a viable alternative to city cars.

With the best subsidies, the larger battery version starts at 23,220 €, offering a much more impressive range of 453 km.
