Kia EV3 prices and range in the US and Canada

The EV3 is finally coming to North America. In the US, the 2027 Kia EV3 starts at $29,890, making it not only Kia’s most affordable EV, but one of the cheapest in America.

Kia’s entry-level electric SUV is available in five trims: Light, Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT. The lowest-priced EV3 Light FWD model uses a 58.3 kWh battery, providing an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 221 miles.

The Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT are powered by a larger 81.4 kWh battery that delivers up to 321 miles of range on a single charge.

Front-wheel-drive (FWD) models have a single electric motor producing 201 horsepower. Upgrading to all-wheel drive (AWD) costs an extra $3,200 and adds a rear motor for a combined output of 261 horsepower. The GT variant adds a bit more power with up to 288 horsepower.

The 58.3 kWh battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 29 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger, while the 81.4 kWh battery takes slightly longer at around 31 minutes.

All EV3 trims come with standard i-Pedal 3.0 one-pedal driving, vehicle-to-load (V2L), and Smart Cruise Control (SCC).

The 2027 EV3 is now on sale in the US and Canada. Kia expects vehicles to begin arriving at dealerships later this month.

Would you choose Kia’s new electric SUV over the Chevy Bolt EV or Nissan LEAF? Both are about the same price, starting at around $30,000 in the US, but the EV3 offers a longer driving range (81.4 kWh battery) and is the only one that offers AWD.
