Jeep has finalized its product strategy for the European market by 2030. As Europe head Xavier Peugeot announced, the model lineup is set to expand to up to six vehicles, covering the B, C, and D SUV segments (small/compaktr cars and mid-size vehicles) in the future. Various propulsion technologies and vehicle platforms are planned to offer both battery-electric models and electrified internal combustion engines.
The confirmed new models include the next generation of the Jeep Renegade and the brand’s return to the larger D-SUV segment. The Renegade is expected to enter the European market in a new generation by 2030 at the latest.
In the B-SUV segment, the Avenger remains the entry point into Jeep’s European model lineup. According to Jeep, nearly 300,000 units have been sold since its launch. Positioned above it is the new Compass in the C-SUV segment, which is offered with hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Jeep also plans to return to the D-SUV segment with the battery-electric Recon (shown in the article image). Another model, not yet specified in detail, is scheduled for release in 2028.
Technically, Jeep adopts a multi-energy approach based on various platforms from its parent company Stellantis. The Jeep brand aims to offer different powertrain concepts simultaneously, rather than focusing its European model lineup exclusively on battery-electric vehicles. According to the manufacturer, each model will also come in an all-wheel-drive version.
With this expanded product range, Jeep aims to capture around 90 percent of the European SUV market in terms of the vehicle segments it serves by 2030. To achieve this, the company relies on a broader range of options, from compact city SUVs to larger off-road vehicles.
Beyond 2030, Jeep is exploring additional concepts for compact and electrified vehicles. The company cites the historic Willys Jeep as one of its design and conceptual references. According to the manufacturer, the focus is on vehicles designed for both urban daily use and off-road driving. No specific series models, production locations, or launch dates for these long-term plans have been disclosed.
"We are confirming our 2030 roadmap, which is based on powerful, compact, and electrified vehicles – inspired by Jeep’s iconic DNA, such as the Renegade – that will continue to offer our customers the freedom to go wherever life takes them," said Peugeot, brand chief.
