Dubai police have added another extraordinary vehicle to their fleet of luxury service vehicles. It is a Yangwang U8, a high-performance SUV capable of floating on water and rotating 360 degrees in place. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. The combined power is impressive, with peaks of 1,197 horsepower. The unveiling took place at the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2026) at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It was a real event organized in partnership with Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, the exclusive distributor of Yangwang vehicles in the United Arab Emirates.

One of the most notable features of the Yangwang U8 is its emergency floating capability. This skill is designed to allow the vehicle to stay afloat and move through water during emergencies and floods. The SUV can also perform a full 360-degree rotation without moving forward or backward, showcasing advanced maneuvering technology. Dubai Police intend to use the Yangwang U8 not only as a patrol vehicle but also as a point of contact between officers and the public. It will enable tourists and residents to request assistance, obtain information, and learn more about community services, functioning like a mobile police station.
