Hyundai Staria Executive: New top-tier specification for the electric seven-seater

Hyundai Staria Executive: New top-tier specification for the electric seven-seater

Hyundai is adding an Executive version to the Staria Electric. Based on the Calligraphy trim level, this seven-seater model focuses on the second row, offering two individual seats with massage functions for passengers. The price starts at 76,450 euros, and the new variant is available now.

Compared to the previously offered Calligraphy model at 66,950 euros, the additional cost is 9,500 euros. There are no changes to the powertrain. The Executive version combines the well-known 84-kWh battery with an electric motor producing 160 kW or 218 horsepower. The extra money is primarily invested in seats, materials, and noise comfort.

Massage and fold-down tables in the second row

The Staria’s executive single-seats are upholstered in semi-aniline leather and come standard with massage, a relax function, and seat climate control. Additional features include fold-down tables with mirrors, extendable cup holders, and USB-C ports with 100 watts of power. A tray allows wireless charging of smartphones. Grabs on the front seat backs make getting in easier, while a lever provides access to the third row.

Additional insulation and panoramic windows with acoustic laminated glass are designed to reduce noise inside the vehicle. Hyundai adds carpeting and leather trim to the rear doors. Gold-chrome accents highlight the seats and the electronic gear selector. A glass sliding roof is located above the first row, while a panoramic glass roof covers the second row.

The more affordable Calligraphy version already comes standard with electrically adjustable comfort seats featuring a relax function, as well as seat heating and ventilation. Its features also include a Bose sound system, a roof sky with leatherette appearance, and multi-colored ambient lighting. The Executive version further enhances this already comprehensive comfort package, especially with the massage function and premium materials.

Gold Chrome and Exclusive Green

Externally, gold-chrome trim, dark chrome accents on mirrors and door handles, along with a Hyundai logo in dark aluminum finish, identify the new version. It also features black 17-inch alloy wheels in a Calligraphy design. The Emerald Green paint color remains exclusive to the Executive version within this model line.

The focus on rear passengers sets the Executive apart from the cheaper Staria versions. The Trend and Prime models each offer nine seating positions, while the Calligraphy and Executive versions can accommodate seven people. The entry price for the electric Staria line is 57,450 euros for the Trend version. Thus, the new Executive version costs 19,000 euros more.

Well-Known Electric Drive with 800-Volt Technology

The electric motor drives the front wheels. For the Staria electric series, Hyundai claims a WLTP range of up to 430 kilometers. The manufacturer estimates the combined power consumption at 21.8 kWh per 100 kilometers.

Thanks to the 800-Volt architecture, the battery should be able to charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes at a 350-kW charger under optimal conditions. The actual charging time depends on factors such as battery and ambient temperature, as well as the available power of the charger station.

The base version already comes equipped with a heat pump and a battery heating system. Standard features also include a digital cockpit and an infotainment touchscreen, both 12.3 inches in size. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly. An automatic climate control system regulates the temperature in both the front and rear compartments.
