Hyundai revives the sports version of the Ioniq 6 in France

Launched in 2023, the Ioniq 6 failed to find its audience in the French market, with very few buyers. As a result, when it was restyled in the summer of 2025, Hyundai decided to stop selling it there. Today, this electric sedan is set to return to France, but only in its sporty Ioniq 6 N version. This model embodies the DNA of motorsport and delivers stunning performance on racetracks. Yet, despite being a race car with high usability, it also aims to be the ideal companion for everyday use. In terms of design, it benefits from the Ioniq 6’s restyling and improved aerodynamics. Hyundai is offering it in France at a price of 79,000 euros—a high price, but the Ioniq 6 N comes standard with particularly comprehensive equipment.

The Ioniq 6 N embodies the DNA of motorsport in the form of an electric sedan that captivates with its precise handling. To the great delight of driving enthusiasts, it delivers stunning performance on the track. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 257 km/h. This is thanks to its two motors that combine for a total power output of up to 478 kW (650 horsepower) and 770 Nm of torque. At the front, the drive system integrates an electric motor, a reducer, and an inverter. The rear motor serves as the main propulsion system to enhance driving dynamics. Optimized for high-speed driving, it features numerous new technologies and intelligent management software that ensure exceptional performance, control, and endurance on the track.

A racing car with great ease of use in everyday driving

Besides its exceptional performance, the Ioniq 6 N offers great ease of use in daily driving. This model demonstrates Hyundai’s commitment to delivering genuine driving excitement without sacrificing versatility. Equipped with an 84 kWh battery, this sports sedan provides up to 487 km of WLTP range. It also features a multi-voltage charging architecture of 400 and 800 Volts, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes under optimal conditions. Additionally, the Ioniq 6 N includes several driving modes that let the driver switch between comfort for everyday use and performance. The Normal mode prioritizes comfort for daily commutes, while the Sport mode ensures a more dynamic driving experience. Finally, the N mode delivers optimal performance, enabling full utilization of the vehicle’s capabilities.

A version that benefits from the Ioniq 6’s restyling, but with distinct features

In terms of design, the Ioniq 6 N features some elements seen during the 2005 restyle of the Ioniq 6. However, this 4.94 meters long and 1.94 meters wide sporty version stands out with a more aggressive look. Optimized for performance, it has widened fenders and a massive rear spoiler typical of a race car. Other specific elements, such as the more sculpted N badge with enlarged air intakes, enhance the sedan’s aerodynamics. With its wing-inspired shapes, the rear diffuser further improves grip and stability at high speeds. Additionally, the Ioniq 6 N has a distinct visual identity. Vivid orange accents are incorporated into the badge and underbody, adding contrast to their glossy black finish.

High price, but very comprehensive equipment

For its launch in France, Hyundai offers the Ioniq 6 N at a price of 79,000 euros. This is a high price point, though it remains lower than that of some of its direct competitors such as the Audi S6 e-tron Sportback. Nevertheless, for this price, the Ioniq 6 N comes standard with an exceptionally comprehensive range of features. This is a strategy Hyundai successfully employed when introducing the Ioniq 5 N. As a result, the Ioniq 6 N features a heat pump and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. It also includes a digital dashboard and a 12.3” touchscreen central display with navigation capabilities. Additionally, it offers leather/Alcantara upholstery and a 7-speaker Bose audio system. The equipment further includes a head-up display, 360° cameras, and a wide array of driving assistance features.
