Hyundai makes the taxi package for the Ioniq 5 significantly cheaper

Hyundai has reduced the costs for taxi conversions across models by up to 990 euros and adjusted the terms in collaboration with its conversion partner Intax. For the all-electric Ioniq 5, the taxi package is now available starting at 1000 euros. It includes a premium coating in the light ivory taxi color, as well as preparations for taximeters, roof signs, and radio technology, plus a legally required taxi emergency alarm system.

According to the manufacturer, the taxi package for the Ioniq 5 offers a price advantage of 490 euros compared to previous rates. Hyundai highlights the mid-size model’s spacious interior, modern comfort features, and all-electric drive system.

"With these new conditions, we continue to develop our taxi offering consistently and create attractive opportunities for entrepreneurs who prioritize modern and sustainable mobility," says Andreas Krause, Director of Sales at Hyundai Motor Deutschland. "Together with our partners, we not only provide cost-effective vehicle solutions but also support our customers with a comprehensive package for professional taxi use."

Hyundai has also announced new package prices including coating for additional models. The taxi package for the i30 Kombi costs 1500 euros, for the Tucson it is 2000 euros, and for the Staria, which will soon be available in a fully electric version, it is 3000 euros. The Staria is designed to transport up to nine passengers.

In addition, South Koreans in this country are collaborating with Taxi-Rent, a provider of taxi and rental car replacement vehicles. Taxi companies can access suitable replacement vehicles during repairs, maintenance, or other downtime periods. It is stated that “every unplanned downtime means missed trips and thus immediate revenue losses for taxi operators. With this new partnership, Hyundai emphasizes its commitment to supporting taxi companies not only with appropriate vehicles but also with well-thought-out mobility solutions for daily operations.”
