GWM already has 11 dealership agreements in Poland. The first Ora 5s are at PDI in Gdańsk.

Great Wall Motor has entered the next phase of preparations for sales in Poland. Astana Motors Poland has already received the first shipment of GWM Ora 5 models, opened a PDI center in Gdańsk, and signed 11 dealership agreements.
This is not yet a full-scale market launch, but the picture looks much more serious than it was a month ago. For customers, two things are more important than just the announcement: service and parts.
Where GWM Will Sell Cars in Poland
11 dealership agreements have been signed, which will enable the brand to be present in major cities and several smaller towns. The list includes:
Auto Premium Rzeszów, Rzeszów
CRH Żagiel Auto, Lublin
Zdunek Mobility, Gdańsk and Olsztyn
Biacomex, Białystok
JKK MOTO Kwiatkowski, Katowice and Zabrze
Kus Automotive Rental, Kraków
Dom Samochodowy Germaz, Wrocław
Auto-Complex, Nowy Sącz
CMC Motors, Kielce
By the end of 2026, Astana Motors Poland aims to have 20 sales and after-sales service outlets. For a new Chinese brand in Poland, this is a more significant commitment than just brochures detailing the equipment.
The Ora 5 will launch the brand’s lineup in Poland. GWM Polska’s website already lists two additional models: Haval H7 and Jolion Max. The timeline for the introduction of all three models has not yet been announced, so for now we have more hints than a full launch schedule.
Gdańsk to operate PDI center, Błonie to speed up repairs
Along with the first shipment of vehicles, a PDI center in Gdańsk was established—this is a facility for checking and preparing cars before they are sent to dealers. Every GWM vehicle arriving in Poland must undergo verification there before further distribution.
The importer is simultaneously developing service processes, technical support, and training programs in collaboration with Steep Sp. z o.o. It sounds rather basic. And that’s good, because it is such things that ultimately determine whether a car stays in the shop for a week or waits months for processing.
The second component of the infrastructure is a spare parts warehouse in Błonie near Warsaw. The facility covers 1,000 m² and is replenished from GWM’s European warehouse in Amsterdam. The importer’s commitment is clear: parts are to reach authorized service centers the next working day after an order is placed.
The first shipment of Ora 5 has already arrived in Poland, with two more shipments in progress. If nothing goes wrong along the way, the cars should soon appear physically at dealerships, not just in price lists and configurators.
GWM has been in operation since 1984 and claims that over 16 million drivers worldwide use its vehicles. Marketing loves big numbers, but in Poland the brand will still be judged by something simpler: whether the Ora 5 can be purchased, serviced, and repaired normally without endless waiting.
For now, GWM hasn’t revealed everything yet, but having a parts warehouse and PDI facility is a better sign than another promise of “it’s coming soon.” What do you think? Does the Ora 5 have a chance to stand out in Poland beyond just being part of the brand’s exotic lineup?
