Government prepares up to 100% subsidies for electric vehicles in microenterprises

The government agrees to fund up to 100% of the eligible cost of electric vehicles, excluding VAT, and this will cover approximately 9,000 companies.
The support for purchasing electric vehicles will not be limited to low-income families or private individuals in general. Microenterprises will also be able to benefit from these incentives, with the subsidy potentially reaching 100% in such cases.
The program is called “Fleet + Green — Microenterprises” and will have a budget of 228 million euros. Part of the Social Climate Plan, it aims to assist around 9,000 companies in replacing gasoline-powered cars with 100% electric models. In total, the purchase of 13,700 vehicles is planned.

Who can benefit from the support?
The program is aimed at microenterprises with fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover of up to two million euros. Additionally, the support will primarily be directed at companies that are highly dependent on fuels, with fuel expenses expected to account for at least 5% of their total costs.
Potential sectors covered include agriculture, construction, retail, distribution, and land transport, including small taxi businesses.
Each microenterprise can apply for support to purchase one or two electric vehicles. However, they must surrender one internal combustion engine vehicle for every electric vehicle acquired.
100% support available, but limits must be set
The subsidy could reach 100% of the vehicle’s eligible value, excluding VAT. However, this does not necessarily mean the government will cover the full price of any electric car. The maximum financing limits per vehicle, as well as other final criteria, have not yet been announced.
The information available so far suggests support for the purchase of new vehicles, but this condition also needs to be confirmed in the regulations.
The program also provides financing for the installation of charging infrastructure, although the relevant limits are still unknown.
When will the support start?
Applications are expected to open in the first months of 2027, but no official date has been set yet. Implementation also depends on the European Commission’s approval of the Social Climate Plan.
Only once the final rules are published will it be possible to know exactly which companies and cars are eligible, how much each beneficiary can receive, and how to submit an application.
It should be noted that the government has also announced new subsidies for purchasing electric vehicles for low-income families. Unlike the program for microenterprises, these incentives can cover used cars and do not require the surrender of a vehicle for scrapping.
We have calculated these incentives and found options that could cost buyers less than 5000 euros:
