Farizon SV and V7E: Two newcomers from the Geely Group in a video review

Farizon is another Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer entering the German market. This Geely subsidiary offers two very different electric vans: the compact V7E and the larger SV. Our reporter Marie-Kristin Wricke took a closer look at these two models at the IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover.

Farizon is part of the Chinese Geely group and has also been present in the German market since mid-2026. Upon launch, the manufacturer offers two fully electric vans designed for different applications. While the V7E is primarily aimed at urban delivery services, the larger SV competes in the 3.5-tonne van category.

The Farizon V7E stands out especially due to its slim design. With a length of around five meters, it is only 1.82 meters wide. The low loading height of 51 centimeters is likely to be particularly convenient for delivery drivers who frequently need to load and unload their vehicles. The electric motor delivers 100 kW, with 50 and 67 kWh battery capacities available as options. The maximum DC charging capacity is 97 kW. In Germany, the V7E will initially be available in just one configuration. The starting price is 32,600 euros net.

The Farizon SV is significantly larger and more powerful. This electric transporter is available in various lengths up to six meters and offers a cargo volume of up to 13 cubic meters. It is powered by an electric motor with 170 kW of output mounted on the front axle. The LFP batteries have a capacity of 67 or 83 kWh, enabling a WLTP range of up to 376 kilometers depending on the variant. Prices start at 44,900 euros net.

According to Farizon, the company adopts a different development approach compared to manufacturers that electrify existing internal combustion engine platforms. The vehicles are designed from the outset for electric propulsion and their specific application scenarios. Wilfried Großeberg explains the role of Geely Group’s industrial experience and resources in this process in an interview with our reporter.

In the video, Marie-Kristin Wricke introduces the two electric transporters, explains their key features, and explores what opportunities the Chinese newcomer holds in the German commercial vehicle market. You can start the video above in the player or watch it directly on YouTube.
