This new electric mountain bike manufactured in Spain is a carbon fiber engineering masterpiece, with a frame weighing just 1.2 kg.

The new Eiros Empor-E is more than just a lightweight bike, but it’s worth noting: it weighs 18.5 kg, a record figure for an enduro bike with full power and an 850 Wh battery.
Eiros is an expert in manufacturing carbon fiber components such as handlebars, seatposts, cyclecomputer mounts, suspension forks... Now, they have partnered with Mahle to create an electric bike that pushes exclusivity to the extreme, as not only is it built with high-quality materials, but only 100 units will be produced worldwide.
Ultra-light carbon frame
The frame of the Empor-E weighs 1.2 kg (without a shock absorber), which is an outrageous figure. Carbon fiber is left exposed (Obsidian finish) to highlight the construction material and save precious grams by eliminating paint.
Its suspension travel is 170 mm, making it a true enduro bike. To achieve a nimble handling in corners while maintaining stability on straight roads, the wheelset is of the 'mullet' type.
The components installed are truly spectacular, which drives up the price as it is a genuine limited edition: in addition to the carefully crafted frame, it features equally exclusive components signed by Eiros, such as the Minotaur handlebar with integrated power or the saddle with a carbon fiber base. The engine cover, also made from “black gold,” stands out as well.
Other components include the suspension system: Öhlins is the supplier, with the RXF38 m.3 front fork and the TTX Air m.2 rear shock absorber standing out, both offering 170 mm of travel per wheel. These are also from DT Swiss and made of carbon fiber—specifically the HXC1200 models.
The transmission is electronic and represents SRAM’s most exclusive option, featuring the XX AXS T-Type paired with a RockShox Reverb AXS electronically actuated telescopic fork. The Brembo GR-Pro four-piston brakes stand out both for their striking color and their quality (and exclusivity).
The engine is another exclusive feature
Mahle is a brand that has been less visible in the category of mid-drive engines so far. The M40 has been chosen for its 850 W power output and 105 Nm of torque. Features like traction control are available on this engine, which shines due to its high level of technology and being the lightest among ‘full power’ mid-drive engines, weighing only 2.5 kg.
The 850 Wh Mahle iM8 battery will be more than sufficient to give the new Empor-E a high range, which the brand claims can reach up to 150 km. The new 1.9'' color Head Unit display from Mahle has been installed in the upper tube of the frame, showing a variety of information.
It costs 19,500 euros
That’s not a small amount: nearly 20,000 euros for a bicycle. While its price might not stand out much these days, its total weight is certainly low. However, it is its exclusive handmade construction that gives this new electric bike its charm—thanks to the truly special Obsidian finish carbon fiber used in it.
It is commendable that brands like the Barcelona-based Eiros, with a well-structured product catalog and a loyal customer base, take the step to embark on an ambitious venture such as producing electric bicycles in a market where customers are closely examining the quality-price ratio of these bikes.
