ErreTwo: how to produce green hydrogen and oxygen, all in one container

Two PEM technology electrolyzers will be delivered in the first quarter of 2027; the system promises lower electricity consumption of over 1 kWh per cubic meter of green hydrogen produced compared to traditional solutions.
ErreDue has secured a contract worth approximately 500,000 euros for supplying two units to a major manufacturing company in the jewelry industry. The Italian company, specialized in designing and producing green electrolyzers and high-purity gas generators, will provide an integrated solution for green hydrogen and oxygen production. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

The core of this supply consists of two Sirio 1.000/d units with PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) technology, designed to meet the specific needs of jewelry manufacturing. This solution enables the production of both gases directly at working pressure inside the electrolytic cell, aiming to improve energy efficiency and simplify process management.
Lower electricity consumption and ultra-pure hydrogen
The plant also eliminates the use of corrosive pollutants and produces ultra-pure, dry hydrogen without requiring additional drying equipment such as those that use calcium chloride. This feature, according to the company, helps improve the quality of the processes and the brightness of the finished products.
The supply also includes an osmotic system that allows for the independent production of distilled water needed to operate the electrolytic process.
A complete plant in a container
The solution will be installed inside a 40-foot climate-controlled shelter, which is approximately 12 meters long. The containerized design enables the integration of all equipment required for gas production, along with control and monitoring systems, in a single space.
Telesurveillance devices and continuous analysis of the gases produced are included, designed to ensure performance monitoring and operational continuity. Maintenance should also be simplified: ErreDue requires only one annual visit from service personnel.
The plug-and-play approach aims to provide the customer with a complete system ready for integration into the production process, reducing the need to install and manage various devices separately.

Efficiency and sustainability in industrial processes
This project is part of ErreDue’s effort to develop more efficient systems for producing industrial gases, with a particular focus on operator safety and reducing the environmental impact of these processes.
“We are extremely proud to have been chosen by such a prestigious jewelry company to help them advance toward more efficient and sustainable production methods,” said Francesca Barontini, CEO of ErreDue.
The electric car has already won. But hydrogen too…
The production of green hydrogen through electrolysis allows the gas to be obtained using electricity and water. However, the environmental benefits also depend on the source of electricity used: when energy comes from renewable sources, hydrogen can be produced with particularly low greenhouse gas emissions.
This new order demonstrates how technologies for generating green hydrogen can be applied in traditional manufacturing sectors, where energy efficiency, the quality of the gases used, and the reliability of the systems are key factors for competitiveness.
