Energa and Tauron offer special rates for electric cars. Energa: 1 zł/kWh on Saturdays, Tauron: low AC and DC rates with an subscription.

The owner of an electric car is the ideal customer for an energy supplier: they consume a large amount of energy in predictable quantities. That’s why more and more providers are offering plans specifically for electric vehicle owners. Energa Obrót (Orlen Group) attracts customers with its “Cheap Weekending” tariff, which costs just 1 grosz per kilowatt-hour used. Tauron, on the other hand, invites customers to its charging station infrastructure as part of its home subscription plans.

The Energa Obrót offer is clearer: from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026, it is possible to activate the Tanie Weekendowanie service. Under this service, electricity costs 0.01 PLN/kWh instead of 0.6172 PLN/kWh between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and this applies only on Saturdays and legally designated holidays. If we have a three-phase wallbox and assume losses of up to a few percent, these 6 hours should be sufficient to add almost 60 kWh of energy to the battery. With current weather conditions, this means up to 400 kilometers of driving for just 60 groszy, or 15 groszy per 100 kilometers.
If we add the distribution fee, it will cost up to 6 zlotys per 100 kilometers. This is roughly equivalent to the cost of 1 liter of fuel. It’s easy to calculate that if our gasoline car uses 5 liters per 100 kilometers, then with this offer, we’ll keep 4/5 of our previous expenses in our pocket. It’s worth checking the additional costs, such as a transaction fee of 19.9–24.9 zlotys per month. The offer is available HERE,

Tauron (southern part of the country; electric vehicle drivers)
While the Energi Obrót offer can be applied to various energy-consuming devices, Tauron’s offer is specifically designed for electric vehicle owners. According to Money.pl, under the Tanie ładowanie w eTauron subscription, users can top up their vehicles between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays during summer at 0.29 PLN/kWh for AC charging and 0.49 PLN/kWh at DC stations. Unfortunately, as is common with Tauron, the communication is poor. The offers cannot be found on their website, so it’s unclear what the cost of this subscription is or how much charging will cost in winter.
