Eliso, with just under 400 fast charging stations in Germany

Charging provider Eliso opened five new locations in Germany during the third quarter. This raises the company’s number of fast charging stations to just under 400. Some of these were established as part of the government initiative Deutschlandnetz.

The five new fast-charging locations operated by Eliso are spread across the states of Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg. A total of 24 new fast-charging stations with charging capacities between 200 and 400 kW have been installed at these locations. Since the beginning of the year, Eliso has opened 40 new sites in Germany. As a result, the company based in Stuttgart now operates nearly 400 fast-charging stations.
Two of the five new locations are part of Deutschlandnetz, an initiative driven by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport with a budget of 2.3 billion euros to expand charging infrastructure in the country. As a subsidiary of Vinci Concessions, Eliso won bids for three regional networks in the Federal Ministry of Transport’s Deutschlandnetz tender and will now be responsible for installing and operating 824 fast charging stations at 110 locations in northern, eastern, and central Germany.
An Overview of the New Eliso Locations
Nienburg (Weser), Niedersachsen: Four charging stations, each with 200 kW capacity, are located on Bundesstraße 215 in an industrial area that includes a hardware store and other shopping options. The site is part of a shopping center managed by the French real estate fund PAREF Prima, for which Eliso is building and operating charging infrastructure at 15 locations in total.
Herzberg (Elster), Brandenburg: Four charging stations, each with 400 kW capacity, are in operation on Leipziger Straße, right near the planetarium. This location is part of the Deutschlandnetz and is within walking distance of the city center with its historic buildings and market square.
Angermünde, Brandenburg: Four charging stations, each with 400 kW capacity, are available near a hardware store and a beverage store for electric vehicles. This site is part of the Deutschlandnetz, combining charging services with local shopping options.
Traunreut, Bavaria: Eight charging stations with a capacity of 200 kW each are available at the Traunpassage. While charging, electric vehicle drivers can shop at the shopping center or combine their charging break with a coffee stop. The location is also situated near a retail park part of the French real estate fund PAREF Prima’s portfolio.
Buchen (Odenwald), Baden-Württemberg: Four charging stations with a capacity of 200 kW each are available directly at a shopping center in Buchen. The area offers amenities such as a pharmacy, a post office, and other goods for daily use.
2,500 fast charging stations planned
Stuttgart-based charging infrastructure provider Eliso was founded in 2016 and has been part of the French infrastructure company Vinci since 2022. The company is part of Vinci Concessions, a subsidiary specialized in concession projects and infrastructure operation. By 2030, Eliso plans to build 2,500 fast charging stations across Germany.
An additional focus is on developing fast charging infrastructure for electric trucks. As part of the federal government’s initial truck fast charging network, Eliso will install and operate up to 180 charging stations for electric trucks with charging capacities of up to 1 megawatt at 25 unattended rest areas along highways in northern Germany.
