Electreon introduces wireless charging solution for parking spaces

Electreon is expanding its inductive charging offering with a stationary solution for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Lite DOT transmits up to 11 kW wirelessly and can be installed in existing parking spaces without major civil engineering work. A corresponding receiver in the vehicle is required.

Lite DOT is designed for outdoor and garage use at temperatures ranging from -30 to +50 degrees Celsius.

Unlike the in-road systems for which the Israeli company is known, this is a stationary solution designed for parking spaces. The target audience includes private users, but focuses in particular on fleets operating passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. The system delivers charging power of up to 11 kW, and transfers energy inductively to the vehicle via a charging pad mounted above ground in the parking space. A wall module can also be installed on a garage wall or a pole. According to Electreon, this eliminates the need for extensive excavation work.

As soon as a compatible vehicle is parked over the charging pad, the system detects the vehicle and automatically initiates the charging process. This makes Lite DOT particularly appealing for fleets whose vehicles are repeatedly charged during regular downtime. Electreon also highlights autonomous vehicles as a potential use case, as no manual connection is required for charging.

However, the solution does not work entirely without additional hardware on the vehicle. For energy transfer, the electric vehicle requires a vehicle-specific receiver. According to Electreon, this can be provided either by the company itself or by partners in the automotive industry. The announcement does not yet specify which vehicle manufacturers will support the technology.

The charging pad can be installed both in garages and outdoors. Electreon specifies an operating temperature range of -30 to +50 degrees Celsius, and the system is also designed to function in rain and snow. The offering additionally includes the ‘Electreon Flow Driver’ app.

With Lite DOT, Electreon is specifically expanding its portfolio towards stationary charging for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. The company is already well known for its higher-power inductive systems and charging while driving. On a test section of the French A10 motorway, its technology is being tested with a truck, van, passenger car, and coach. During energy transfer while driving, average power levels of 200 kW and peak values of over 300 kW were recorded. The technology is also being tested on a section of the A6 in the Upper Palatinate as part of the E|MPOWER project[](https://www.electrive.net/2025/06/10/teststrecke-eingeweiht-a6-wird-zur-e-road-fuer-induktives-laden/).

Lite DOT takes a different approach with a maximum of 11 kW: instead of high charging power, the focus is on the automated use of regular parking times. For fleets, this could be particularly interesting where vehicles are regularly parked in fixed spaces and need to be recharged without manual connection. Following the acquisition of US specialist InductEV earlier this year, Electreon states that it now holds over 400 patents in the field of wireless charging.
