The Smart #2 now has a price in Spain: starting at 19,990 euros

The "classic" Smart is back. The recent 2026 Paris Motor Show served as the stage for the launch of the fourth generation of the two-seater Smart, which in previous versions was known by names like City Coupé or the more familiar Fortwo. Now simply called Smart #2, it comes equipped with strong credentials to once again become the king of city driving.
As expected, it remains a compact vehicle (2746 mm in length), with wheels positioned at the corners of the body. Its 82 HP (60 kW) engine is mounted on the rear axle, while its 35.8 kWh battery provides a WLTP range of 290 km, one of the best figures in the A-class (urban) segment. Additionally, it can go from 10% to 80% charge in just 20 minutes.
The Smart #2 range in our country will consist of four finish levels in total (Pure, Pure+, Premium, and Couture Edition), with a more sporty Brabus variant expected to be added later. The Pure starts at 19,990 euros and includes features such as keyless entry and start, Smart Pilot Assist, and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) reverse charging.
The Pure+ costs 20,990 euros and adds 11 kW three-phase charging (the version just below it is limited to 7.4 kW AC), as well as a heated driver’s seat. The Premium version costs 24,490 euros and comes with a panoramic roof, heated seats with leather-like upholstery, and a Sennheiser sound system with seven speakers.

Smart #2 will begin deliveries next summer
The final option is the Couture Edition (25,690 euros), which stands out at first glance thanks to its unique grille featuring straps that evoke the world of leather goods. Inspired by the fashion industry, it features an exclusive color combination (White Matte with Platinum Gold roof) and 16-inch tires. In terms of equipment, it is based on the Premium finish level.
Smart has confirmed that the first deliveries will begin in the summer of 2027, though delivery times may vary depending on the color and finish chosen. The brand has already opened orders for the new model, which aims to become the best-selling item in its range, as it is significantly more affordable than larger models such as the #1, #3, or #5.

"Since we announced the Smart #2, we’ve seen extraordinary enthusiasm from our community. Even before an official pre-order date was set, Smart enthusiasts were already contacting our distributors to ask when they could reserve the new two-seater Smart. Now we can satisfy the many fans of two-seater cars in Europe who have been waiting so long to reserve one of the first Smart #2s," says Remo Guthauser, Smart’s European Sales Director.
