The Skoda Epiq is now cheaper: its new version costs 26,915 euros before subsidies

The Skoda Epiq range in Spain has just been expanded with the launch of the mid-tier Epiq 40 model, which features a 135 HP (99 kW) engine and a 38.5 kWh LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery. Its range is 324 km according to WLTP standards. An entry-level variant called Epiq 35 will follow later, using the same battery but equipped with a less powerful 116 HP (85 kW) engine.

The new Skoda Epiq 40 has a starting cash price of 26,915 euros. Including financing options such as Plan Auto+ and CAE, the minimum price is 18,500 euros (for comparison, the Epiq 55, which combines a 211 HP engine with a 55 kWh battery, costs 22,800 euros after all discounts). It is available in two trim levels: Urban and Selection.

In addition to expanding its lineup, Skoda has introduced new equipment options: the heat pump is now available on all trims, while the Selection and First Edition finishes can now be paired with the new Premium Pack, which includes Park Assist, Top Area View, Canton audio system, front trunk, Remote Parking, and Trained Parking. The Selection variant can also feature electrically adjustable front seats.

The Epiq is Skoda’s smallest and most affordable electric vehicle. It is a B-SUV with dimensions of 4,171 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width, and 1,581 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,601 mm. The car boasts a spacious trunk capacity of 475 liters; it also has a 25-liter frunk or front trunk, which is available as an option as mentioned earlier.

The Epiq is the first Skoda manufactured in Spain

This is the first Skoda produced in Spain, as it is assembled alongside the Volkswagen ID. Cross at the Landaben plant (Navarra). It was previously reported that the Czech brand might also be considering developing an electric Fabia, which would be assembled in Martorell (Barcelona); however, there is no official information on this yet.

Andreas Dick, a member of Skoda’s Executive Committee responsible for Production and Logistics, said a few weeks ago that “the Epiq is Skoda’s first model to be manufactured in Spain. This move underscores the strength and flexibility of our production network. By efficiently balancing capacity across the entire Volkswagen Group, we can support the increase in production of key electric models while maintaining high production quality and competitive costs — all of which directly benefit our customers.”
