Over five meters long, with three rows of seats and not a drop of gasoline. That’s the Lexus TZ, the Japanese brand’s new 100% electric SUV, which has now been officially released in Spain. It is already available for order at the official dealerships on the Peninsula and Balearic Islands at a minimum price of 88,000 euros.
The TZ was unveiled in May and now arrives with a very straightforward offering: two versions, each with its own finish. Lexus designed it for families who spend many hours on the road, using a concept called Driving Lounge that prioritizes comfort for all passengers over performance. It is also the brand’s first electric vehicle with a third row of seats, one step above the Lexus RZ.
Two versions and three prices

The range starts with the TZ 450e Executive, featuring 313 horsepower and priced at 88,000 euros. Above it is the TZ 550e Luxury model, with 408 horsepower and a price tag of 103,000 euros. If a two-tone body color is desired, the Luxury Bitono version costs 105,000 euros.
Both versions are equipped with the electric all-wheel drive system DIRECT4, which distributes power between the two axles based on road conditions and driving mode. All models come standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 package, which includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision system, driver facial recognition, and blind spot detector. There are six colors available, including a new Gaia Green, with the metallic paint option costing 1,400 euros.
95.8 kWh Battery and 150 kW Charging

In terms of energy and range, the TZ features a 95.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an estimated driving range of up to 540 kilometers depending on the trim level (WLTP). It supports fast DC charging at up to 150 kW, allowing it to go from 10% to 80% charge in about 35 minutes, and includes a 22 kW AC charger.
In the 550e, each axle has a 167 kW (227 HP) motor integrated into an eAxle, a compact unit that combines the engine, power electronics, and inverter. It represents an evolution of the RZ system and the new Lexus ES—we’ve already tested it—with more battery capacity and greater power. The specifications show 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds, a curb weight of 2,630 kilograms, and a towing capacity of 1,500 kilograms.
A car designed for comfortable travel

The TZ falls into the category of large SUVs. It measures 5,100 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,050 mm. For perspective, it is 21 centimeters longer than a Lexus RX. The suspension features a McPherson setup in the front and a multi-link design in the back, while the rear steering allows the wheels to turn up to four degrees, resulting in a turning radius of 5.4 meters.
Aerodynamics are also well considered, with a drag coefficient of 0.27, one of the best in its class. Finally, the TZ introduces a Comfort driving mode that coordinates the rear steering, brakes, and all-wheel drive to minimize movement for passengers in the back seat.
The TZ comes standard with six seats arranged in three rows of two, with individual seats in the second row. With all seats occupied, the trunk capacity is 257 liters, sufficient for a few shopping bags. If the rear rows are folded down, the capacity increases to 1,987 liters.
