The Hyundai IONIQ 3 has a lower price: 31,790 euros, with a discount of 7,660 euros and a range of 456 km.

The Hyundai IONIQ 3 has just entered the Spanish market with a lineup aimed at gaining a foothold in one of the most competitive segments of electric vehicles. Hyundai’s compact car combines a design that differs significantly from the brand’s usual style with a spacious interior, a solid level of equipment, and a battery designed to provide sufficient range for both daily use and long trips.

The version attracting attention currently is the IONIQ 3 N Line, which not only offers a more sporty appearance but also benefits from a strong marketing campaign. The starting price isn’t particularly low, but the current promotions significantly change things, putting this Korean compact car in a much more competitive position compared to some of its rivals.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 3 comes as a surprise with a price much lower than expected

The new Hyundai IONIQ 3 features a compact five-door body design with proportions optimized to make the most of available space. The N Line version includes unique elements such as its own bumpers, black exterior accents, a rear spoiler, and 18-inch tires, along with specific interior decorations. The vehicle measures 4.17 meters in length, 1.80 meters in width, and 1.51 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 2.68 meters.

Inside, the IONIQ 3 adopts a fairly practical philosophy. The N Line trim includes a 9.9-inch digital dashboard and a 14.6-inch central screen, along with navigation, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger for compatible phones, and a two-zone automatic climate control system. It also features heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, and specific upholstery made of fabric and Alcantara.

The safety and assistance features are also quite comprehensive. These include adaptive cruise control with start/stop function, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, remote parking assist, blind spot detection, emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, traffic sign recognition, and lane keeping assist. The N Line version may also include advanced driving assistance features.

In terms of mechanics, it features a front electric motor with 99.5 kW of power, equivalent to around 135 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. The IONIQ 3 N Line accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 170 km/h. It isn’t designed to be a high-performance sports car, but it does offer sufficient specifications for a compact vehicle aimed primarily at daily use.

The battery has a capacity of 61 kWh, allowing the IONIQ 3 N Line to achieve up to 456 kilometers of WLTP range with its 18-inch wheels. This figure makes long trips feasible without requiring constant searches for charging stations. The same model range provides better ranges with other configurations, reaching up to 497 kilometers in the IONIQ 3 with a larger battery and more efficient wheels.

Regarding charging, the IONIQ 3 can go from 10% to 80% battery charge in about 29 minutes using a high-power fast charger. It comes equipped with an 11 kW AC charger, though it’s possible to install one at 22 kW. In the latter case, charging from 10% to 100% with a 61 kWh battery takes around 2 hours and 42 minutes.

And here comes one of the most interesting aspects of this version. The official reference price for the Hyundai IONIQ 3 N Line with a 61 kWh battery is around 39,000 euros, although Hyundai is currently offering various launch and financing promotions. The brand provides special terms for the first 200 units, including a home charger and installation, along with other benefits related to charging.

The new Hyundai Ioniq 3 surprises with a price much lower than expected

In the offer analyzed by Motor.es, the discount amounts to 7,660 euros, resulting in a final price of 31,790 euros. This represents a significant difference from the initial price and makes the IONIQ 3 N Line a worthwhile option for those looking for a compact electric vehicle with a range of over 450 kilometers and fairly comprehensive features.

That said, it’s advisable to check the terms before finalizing any figures. The promotion is subject to availability and financing, so the advertised price should not necessarily be interpreted as the amount any buyer will pay without meeting the campaign’s requirements.

The IONIQ 3 also comes with a range that will soon expand to include additional trims, offering more options for those who don’t need all the features of the N Line. Hyundai also provides specific launch terms for the first units, including financing and additional benefits that can affect the final cost of ownership.

Nevertheless, Hyundai’s move is significant. The IONIQ 3 does not attempt to compete solely on range or price, but rather combines both factors with advanced features and compact dimensions.
