The modern Honda Prelude has a price reduction: it is now up to 6,000 € cheaper, and the unexpected limited edition will indeed arrive in Spain.

Honda has decided to make one of its most special models more accessible. The new Prelude e:HEV, an 184 HP hybrid coupe that revives a historic name from the Japanese brand, sees its entry price in Spain reduced. The discount amounts to 5,900 euros compared to the previous lowest price. Additionally, the manufacturer is preparing the launch of the 2027 Honda Prelude Limited Edition, a special series that will arrive in Europe before the end of the year with an exclusive aesthetic design.
The Honda Prelude hybrid: now from 43,600 euros
The sixth generation of the Honda Prelude entered the European market by adopting a formula that has become increasingly rare: a two-door, four-seater coupe with a powertrain designed to combine efficiency with sporty performance.
Its initial price of 49,500 euros posed a barrier for many buyers, but Honda has decided to improve its market positioning.
Since October, the modern Honda Prelude costs 43,600 euros with financing through Honda Bank, while the cash price is 46,000 euros, down from the previous 49,500 euros.
The financed offer comes with certain conditions and does not mean the total cost of the deal is 43,600 euros. The example provided by Honda includes a down payment of 13,164.70 euros, 36 monthly payments of 300 euros, and a final payment of 27,280 euros. The total amount over time, including interest, amounts to 51,244.70 euros.
A 184 HP hybrid sports car with low fuel consumption
The Honda Prelude features the Japanese manufacturer’s well-known hybrid system, consisting of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors. This combination delivers a maximum power output of 184 HP and a torque of 315 Nm, with an approved combined fuel consumption of 5.2 liters per 100 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle.
It can operate in electric mode, hybrid mode, or using only the internal combustion engine, automatically selecting the most efficient configuration. If you want to know more about it, you can read the review we published a few months ago.
One of its features is the Honda S+ Shift technology, which simulates gear shifts using the steering wheel levers to deliver sensations similar to those of a conventional sports car. It also includes adaptive shock absorbers, suspension components derived from the Civic Type R, 19-inch tires, and Brembo brakes.
A limited edition with exclusive design for the end of the year
The second novelty is the Honda Prelude Limited Edition 2027, a version that the brand already sells in Japan and which will arrive in Spain during the last quarter of 2026.
Its main difference will be aesthetic. The body will be available in Premium Metallic Garnet Red, paired with 19-inch black tires, red Brembo brakes, and specific details on the bumpers. The interior will feature burgundy upholstery with red stitching, exclusive floor mats, and the word “Prelude” embroidered on the dashboard.
The hybrid mechanics will remain unchanged, so it will still deliver 184 horsepower. Honda has not yet announced the price of this special edition or how many units will be available in the Spanish market.
With the reduction in price of the regular model and the introduction of this exclusive version, the brand aims to enhance the appeal of a car that is uncommon in an era dominated by SUVs.
