The Geely E2 arrives in Spain with a range of up to 345 km and a competitive price.

Geely now has a new model in Spain. The Chinese manufacturer is expanding its lineup with the Geely E2, a 4.13-meter-long compact electric vehicle aimed at gaining a foothold in one of the most competitive segments of the market. It features five seats, a fairly comprehensive suite of technological features, and a configuration that is uncommon among its rivals: a rear engine and rear-wheel drive.
The E2 thus becomes Geely’s third model in our country, following the electric E5 and the plug-in hybrid Starray EM-i. Its arrival comes with particularly aggressive pricing, though it’s important to carefully examine the terms to understand the actual cost.
The exterior design features a body with rounded shapes and balanced proportions. The E2 is 4.13 meters long, 1.81 meters wide, and 1.58 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.65 meters. These dimensions are typical for a B-segment vehicle, though Geely has aimed to make the most of the available space to offer five seats.

Inside, it offers a much more technologically advanced setup than one might expect given its price. The Geely Flyme Auto multimedia system is paired with a 14.6-inch central screen, while standard features include automatic climate control, keyless entry and start, wireless charging, and a 360-degree panoramic camera in higher trims.
Geely has also paid special attention to safety. The E2 comes equipped with a wide range of driver assistance systems and up to 36 safety-related features, having earned five stars from Euro NCAP in tests conducted under the 2026 protocol.
But perhaps one of the most notable aspects of the E2 is found beneath its chassis. Unlike many of its competitors of similar size, Geely uses an engine mounted on the rear axle that transmits power to the rear wheels. The rear suspension is also independent of the multi-link type, a solution that is uncommon in this segment.

The Spanish lineup is available in three trims: Pro, Pro+, and Max+. The base model uses a battery with lower capacity and a 60 kW motor, equivalent to around 82 horsepower. With this configuration, the E2 achieves a WLTP range of 252 kilometers and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 14.2 seconds.
The higher trims, E2 Pro+ and Max+, feature a 47 kWh battery and an 85 kW motor, equivalent to around 116 horsepower. This setup boosts the range to 345 kilometers in combined WLTP testing, and up to 497 kilometers in urban conditions. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h decreases to 11.5 seconds.
The battery used in the Spanish versions features LFP chemistry and includes liquid cooling. For the 47 kWh version, fast charging allows the battery to go from 30% to 80% in about 20-25 minutes, depending on the setup and charging conditions. It also has a V2L function that enables using the car’s battery to power certain electrical devices.

With its 345 kilometers of WLTP range, the E2 is not intended to be a car for frequent long-distance trips. Its approach is different: it offers an alternative mainly for urban and suburban use, but with sufficient range to leave the city without needing to find a charger for every trip.
And that is precisely where Geely aims to set itself apart from other small models. The E2 combines relatively compact exterior dimensions with five seats, two trunks, and a rear mechanical configuration that is uncommon among electric cars of this size.
Price will undoubtedly be one of its main selling points. The official cash price starts at 20,280 euros for the Geely E2 Pro.

Considering the financing options and subsidies from the Auto Plan, the E2 Pro starts at 14,490 euros, the Pro+ at 17,485 euros, and the Max+ at 20,485 euros. Additionally, Geely has introduced a launch offer that reduces the price of the Pro version by 500 euros, the Pro+ by 1,500 euros, and the Max+ by 2,000 euros.
We will share our impressions of the car in our review article, based on a brief test drive of the E2 through the streets of Madrid, which yielded significant insights.
But most importantly, the Spanish market now has a new model that raises the bar for competition significantly, thanks to a vehicle that excels in almost every aspect. Additionally, Geely has reached an agreement with Ford to use its plant in Valencia for car manufacturing, where two electric models from the Asian brand could soon be produced.
The Geely E2 will begin deliveries at the end of September this year.
