FIAT is in the midst of renewing its lineup. Following the launch of the Grande Panda and 500 Hybrid, the Italian manufacturer is preparing to introduce numerous new models in the coming years. It has been confirmed that the 500e will undergo a major update next year; additionally, the Multiplina and Koala will be launched in the lower end of the range in 2028.

In the higher end, the focus is on the new Grizzly family, which consists of two compact SUVs: the standard Grizzly, measuring 4.39 meters in length, and the Grizzly Fastback, a sort of ‘coupe’ version that is also slightly larger (4.49 meters in length). Both are built on Stellantis’ Smart Car platform.

In practice, the FIAT Grizzly is related to the already well-known Citroën C3 Aircross and Opel Frontera, although the Italian brand has put significant effort into its aesthetic design to set it apart, with lines inspired by the new design language introduced by the aforementioned Grande Panda. This differentiation extends to the interior as well.

The launch of the FIAT Grizzly in Spain is scheduled for next January; however, we have already learned about its range structure and initial pricing. The model will be available in three trim levels: Pop, Icon, and La Prima, from least to most equipped. It will also offer three propulsion options: gasoline, microhybrid, and 100% electric.

FIAT Grizzly

The FIAT Grizzly is related to the Citroën C3 Aircross and Opel Frontera.

The electric model will be equipped with an engine producing 113 HP (83 kW) and a 44 kWh LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery, which is expected to offer a WLTP range of 320 km. A second 54 kWh battery pack is likely to be added later, potentially extending the range to around 400 km WLTP. This higher-capacity battery is already available in the ë-C3 Aircross and Frontera Electric.

The Pop variant comes standard with 16-inch tires including wheel covers, light sensors, air conditioning, power front windows, rear parking sensors, and unintentional lane change warning. The Icon model adds LED headlights, an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and power rear windows. Finally, the La Prima version features 17-inch alloy wheels, rain sensors, electrochromic interior mirrors, a navigation system, a front center armrest, front parking sensors, and front seats with height adjustment.

With the Pop trim, the electric FIAT Grizzly will start at 33,162 euros, while the Icon trim will cost 34,161 euros. The top-of-the-line La Prima trim will cost 36,162 euros. It’s important to note that these prices do not include any promotional discounts; in practice, the actual prices are likely to be below the 30,000 euros psychological barrier. In any case, we won’t know for sure until the online configurator is launched.
