EICMA 2026. Zero Motorcycles with its affordable supermotard and the new LS3 e-scooter

The California-based brand celebrates 20 years in business by making a grand appearance at Eicma. Project Ventura, a completely new road bike that reimagines the style of supermotards in an electric format, was unveiled globally for the first time. The LS3 e-scooter also makes its European debut, while the off-road XE model evolves to achieve full road legal approval.
Project Ventura, the Affordable Electric Supermotard
Zero’s most interesting new offering at Eicma 2026 is undoubtedly Project Ventura, a completely new electric motorcycle prototype designed to bring the characteristics of supermotards to the zero-emission two-wheeler world. The project focuses on accessibility, emphasizing features such as light weight, agility, and ease of handling to provide control and safety even for beginners.
The company’s stated goal is to combine the lively character of a supermotard with sufficient practicality for everyday use. Zero Motorcycles is therefore focusing on a new propulsion system that delivers over 20 kW of power, a top speed of 130 km/h, and an estimated real-world range of 150 km.
The bike features 17-inch wheels equipped with high-performance road tires. Functional features include a built-in Level 2 charger (for charging at public stations) and a frame approved for carrying two passengers.
Project Ventura also comes standard with ABS and Bluetooth connectivity via the Zero app. Information on battery life and charging times remains unclear. It is expected to arrive in Europe in the summer of 2027.

LS3 makes its European debut: up to 150 km of range and 120 km/h top speed
At the Milan exhibition, Zero Motorcycles also unveiled an important new model in the electric scooter category. Following the launch of the LS1 model, the larger LS3 makes its European debut. This new model offers improved performance and features designed for trips beyond the typical home-office route.
The engine reaches a peak power of 12.7 kW (17 HP), while the claimed top speed is 120 km/h. The estimated range is up to 150 km. The energy storage system consists of three integrated batteries with a total capacity of 5.6 kWh. One of the batteries is located under the seat and is removable, allowing space to be reclaimed when needed.

ABS and cameras standard
In terms of features, the LS3 aims to stand out. The scooter is connected to the Zero Motorcycles app, comes with a Hill Hold system to assist with starting on slopes, and an advanced ABS module. To enhance comfort, it features heated grips and a seat, while two USB-C ports allow charging electronic devices during rides.
A notable feature is the integrated cameras, one at the front and one at the back, which allow recording of the routes taken. A trunk and a mid-height windscreen are also included standard.
The new Zero LS3 will be available in two colors (Sterling Silver and Midnight Blue), with availability starting in spring 2027. The announced price is 6,985 euros.

XE gets an update. Full road homologation is now available too
Among the other updates presented by Zero Motorcycles in Milan is an evolution of the compact off-road electric bike Zero XE, which is now road-legal in North America as well (the version eligible for registration there was not available in Europe).
The 2027 refresh includes a new black livery, a redesigned center console, a new lighting system with a small integrated dome, and wider dual-sport tires. The transmission ratios have also been updated, with a new rear sprocket that allows the top speed to increase to 95 km/h, ten km/h more than before.
The global launch of the updated Zero XE is scheduled for early spring 2027, with prices starting at 6,770 euros.
