EICMA 2026: TVS prepares an offensive with three new e-scooters

With an increasing focus on European markets, TVS Motor Company made a stop at Eicma 2026 bringing a slew of new products, particularly in the field of electric mobility. Three scooters of different types ready for production were unveiled.
To continue growing in Italy, where sales volumes have risen significantly in the past year, the Indian-based TVS group — the world’s third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer — decided to focus on electric options, launching three new models for urban mobility at the Milan exhibition: the Orbiter, TVS X, and M1-S. All are expected to arrive in 2027.
Orbiter, for the city
Orbiter is the classic urban moped (L1e), compact and functional for short trips and daily errands. With its simple design, it will hit European markets equipped with dual batteries that are removable and rechargeable via a standard household outlet. The maximum speed is 45 km/h per regulations, while the claimed range reaches 100 km with the high-performance battery.
TVS suggests a possible market launch in the first half of 2027. The price has not been announced yet.
TVS X, technology and performance
The new TVS X is more bold and higher-end, combining “performance-oriented engineering, software-based features, and a connected customer experience” for the brand.
Vibrant colors and a bold sports design are highlighted as its strengths. The European L3e version will feature 14-inch wheels, an aluminum frame, and dual-channel ABS.
In terms of performance, the electric motor delivers a peak power of 11.7 kW, with 0 to 40 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 110 km/h.
The 10.2-inch panoramic touchscreen includes Android Auto and full-map navigation, powered by the scooter’s standalone LTE connectivity. An official price will also be announced soon.

TVS M1-S, urban maxi-scooter
The M1-S is a completely different model, designed for those who seek the comfort, practicality, and on-road performance of a maxi-scooter, along with the advantages of electric power. In short, it offers an electric alternative to traditional medium-displacement scooters.
The M1-S is powered by a 4.2 kWh battery and delivers up to 12.5 kW of peak power, achieving a top speed of 105 km/h. The engine is located centrally, and the battery is placed low on the frame to optimize the center of gravity.
Focusing on driving comfort, this large scooter comes standard with a storage compartment and a small windshield. Additionally, its built-in LTE connectivity provides connected features without the need for a paired smartphone.
The model, like the TVS X, already made its debut at Eicma 2025 but now seems ready to enter the market. In this case, sales in Italy are expected to begin in the second half of 2027. Some specifications and prices are still being finalized.
