EICMA 2026. Kove is focusing on electric vehicles with the E-550RR and its off-road model Bonic.

Among the new products unveiled by the Chinese brand Kove at the Milan Motor Show are two interesting electric projects: a supersports bike with over 50 kW of power (E-500RR) and an off-road model inspired by the Dakar experience (Bonic). Lightness and agility are the key features.

Kove E-500RR: Light Frame, Powerful Engine

As part of its development program for high-performance motorcycles, the new E-500RR represents an ambitious project: an electric bike capable of producing over 50 kW of power while maintaining a weight under 150 kg. Kove has sought to apply the expertise gained from motorcycle racing to the world of electric mobility, focusing particularly on lightness and dynamic performance.

The heart of the E-500RR is an in-house developed, liquid-cooled axial flux electric motor. According to the company, this architecture was chosen to achieve high power density and minimize size, facilitating the creation of a lightweight and compact motorcycle.

The specifications indicate a peak motor power of 50 kW, with a maximum torque of 415 Nm. The top speed is 150 km/h, and the claimed range is around 100 km. The battery has a capacity of 5.2 kWh.

As a motorcycle designed for the track as well, great attention was paid to its handling. The E-500RR features a reverse-mounted front fork, a rear hydraulic monoshock, and a rigid frame tuned for sporty riding. The braking system includes a 320 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, along with dual-channel ABS. Sport tires are mounted on 17-inch wheels.

Kove BONIC: The off-road electric motorcycle inspired by bird bones

At Eicma 2026, Kove also unveiled the BONIC electric off-road motorcycle ahead of time, which combines technical solutions derived from rally experience with an in-house developed electric platform.

The project stands out for its structure inspired by bird bones, designed here as well to balance strength, lightness, and dynamic performance.

The most distinctive feature of Bonic is its structural architecture, developed through parametric optimization techniques. The stated goal is to distribute materials based on stress requirements, seeking the best balance between durability and weight reduction. The result is a “skeletal” appearance to the structure, which serves as one of the project’s key identifiers.

To develop this bicycle, Kove drew on his experience in Dakar competitions, applying some of the knowledge gained from rally raids to a bike designed for exploring unpaved routes and recreational off-road riding.

The stated performance goals are ambitious: power over 25 kW, range exceeding 80 miles (about 129 km), and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of less than 2.3 seconds.
