eFlexy, Iveco’s first electric minibus

It is called eFlexy, an Iveco minibus based on the Ducato chassis and customized by Olmedo, unveiled in Spain at the FIAA 2026 exhibition. It belongs to the eFlexy Line range and brings the brand into a segment previously unexplored by it, but certainly competitive in all cities as well as in countries with ancient historic centers and narrow streets. Not coincidentally, it is available in both urban and tourist versions. Its range reaches 300 km, and it can be charged via 22 kW AC or 150 kW DC.
Unveiled in Spain, available on the market in the first quarter of 2027
eFlexy falls into the M2 class, meaning it weighs under 5 tons: these are more compact vehicles, often less than 8 meters long, used for light urban services, shuttles, school buses, and local transportation. This expands Iveco Bus’s product range, which noted in a statement the transition from “compact solutions for passenger transport to 18-meter articulated buses and 12- and 13-meter intercity models.”

The two versions are introduced by Giorgio Zino, head of commercial operations at Iveco Europe. “With eFlexy Line and eFlexy City, Iveco Bus expands its zero-emission offering to a segment that is becoming increasingly strategic for operators: compact, affordable, and flexible passenger transport. Available in City and Line versions, this new range of electric minibuses is designed to cover a wide range of daily operations, from urban routes to on-demand services and shuttles, helping customers with their decarbonization strategies.”
The specifications of the two eFlexy models
eFlexy Line is designed for daily commutes, intercity services, local connections, and shuttle operations, capable of carrying up to 13 passengers in addition to the driver. Its continuous flat floor facilitates access to the seats, while the retractable hydraulic lift at the rear, located under the floor, allows wheelchair users to board easily.

Aboard, flexible seat configurations, single tourist seats, and 3 square meters of cargo space combine practicality with comfort.

eFlexy City, designed for city centers, low-traffic areas, and urban services, can carry up to 17 passengers, including seated, standing, and wheelchair users depending on the configuration. The 1,200 mm side door and retractable rear hydraulic lift facilitate boarding and improve passenger flow.
A minibus that can be charged at 22 or 150 kW, with a range of 300 km
Fitted with a 205 kW electric motor, these minibuses deliver performance suitable for a wide range of passenger transport tasks. The 110 kWh battery ensures a range of over 300 km. Both models can be charged via AC at up to 22 kW or DC at up to 150 kW. With fast charging, the vehicles can regain up to 80% of their capacity in less than an hour, simplifying service scheduling and optimizing operational shifts.

To optimize energy efficiency, the two eFlexy models offer three driving modes and four levels of regenerative braking. Operators can adjust the vehicle’s behavior to traffic conditions, route profiles, and service requirements. Additionally, there is a connected services ecosystem shared with the eDaily models, providing end-to-end support.

The eStart Pack (included for three years) provides access via the IVECO ON portal to essential information for efficient vehicle management, such as charge level, remaining range, battery status, charging progress, and operational performance. Among its eRemote functions are eRange Assurance and Uptime Monitoring & Management, which allow users to schedule charging, precondition the cabin, receive proactive alerts, and plan maintenance in advance to ensure vehicles remain operational.
