Good prices on the Audi Q6 e-tron. Officially starting at 216,400 złoty (-24%), just a bit more expensive than the Tesla Model Y, but with a lower monthly payment.
Audi occasionally offers special deals, allowing buyers to purchase new electric Audis at a 20-30 percent discount. Currently, as readers have pointed out to us, there are good discounts available on the Audi Q6 e-tron, a D-segment SUV that is a direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y. These vehicles are available with a 24 percent discount, so models that originally cost under 300,000 złoty are now being sold for around 220,000 to 230,000 złoty — only slightly more expensive than comparable Teslas.
Audi Q6 e-tron at a lower price
The Audi Q6 e-tron is available with two battery capacities: 100 (94.9) kWh and 83 (75.8) kWh, with the lowest prices naturally applying to the second option (source). Although its battery pack is significantly larger than that of the Tesla Model Y Standard 64-65 (~60) kWh, the official WLTP range of the Audi Q6 e-tron is lower than that of the Model Y. It boasts 485 WLTP units compared to 525 units in the Tesla RWD [Standard], which translates to 415 kilometers in urban or city-suburban driving conditions, 291 kilometers at 120 km/h, or 223 kilometers at 140 km/h [preliminary calculations by Elektrowozu’s editorial team].
The renderings above show the cheapest model available on Audi’s website, the version offered at Audi Wrocław for 216,433 złotys. The advantage of this model is its 800 V architecture (actually around 600-700 V), which allows it to reach speeds using a charger of up to 225 kW and charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. Tesla Model Y could only achieve this with BYD cells, whereas the currently used CATL LFP cells require a slightly longer charging time of about 24 minutes.
A potential advantage is the all-wheel drive system and 185 kW/252 hp of power (450 Nm of torque), which enable the Audi Q6 e-tron to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Other notable features include a 526-liter trunk with an electric lid, three-zone climate control, and a heated steering wheel. What are the drawbacks? The software falls short compared to that in American and Chinese vehicles, and the savings offered don’t match premium brands (such as hard plastic pockets in the rear doors). Included packages like a 4-year repair package or body trim accessories may be tempting, but they’re unlikely to influence the choice of this particular brand — those days are over. The vehicle features a head-up display (HUD), “Black Optical Package,” adaptive matrix headlights, parking assistant, OLED tail lights, the MMI Experience Plus multimedia system with Bang & Olufsen audio, 360-degree cameras, laminated front windows, sporty front seats, and a comfortable center armrest. This edition is equipped with an engine producing 225 kW/306 hp to power the rear wheels and offers a range of 587 WLTP units.
