Improvements for the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric
Launched in 2024, the year it was named Car of the Year, the Renault Scénic has achieved undeniable success. Yet, the brand with its diamond logo does not rest on its laurels but continues to introduce new improvements. The main updates include new batteries that provide the SUV with greater range and improved charging performance. Although a full restyle is not yet planned, Renault has made slight changes to the exterior design as well as the interior atmosphere. The Scénic E-Tech electric will also benefit from enhanced driving aids and new features. Finally, to offer a simpler and smoother experience, Renault has improved the Scénic’s connectivity. On top of that, all these improvements do not result in higher prices; in fact, the price of the entry-level version has dropped significantly.
New Batteries for Longer Range
New batteries will now equip the Renault Scénic, with all versions featuring a 220 hp engine. The main change applies to the entry-level Autonomie Confort version, which will replace its 60 kWh NMC battery with a 67 kWh LFP battery. This battery uses the Cell-to-pack architecture introduced in the new Mégane E-Tech electric, offering up to 467 km of WLTP range compared to 430 km with the previous 60 kWh battery. It also improves fast charging, delivering a peak DC charge of 165 kW, allowing the battery to go from 15% to 80% charge in 24 minutes. Additionally, the Grande Autonomie version will have an 89 kWh NMC battery instead of the previous 87 kWh. This new battery will provide up to 642 km of range, with Renault claiming a 25% improvement in charging speed.
Design changes before the restyle
The Renault Scénic E-Tech electric hasn’t seen a restyle yet. However, the brand with its diamond logo is making slight adjustments to its exterior design. The front and rear bumper fins now feature a Glossy Black finish. New 19” and 20” wheels with unique designs have also been added to the lineup. Additionally, two new body colors (Satin Slate Blue and Grix Exo Galaxy) are now available. Renault has also introduced new interior themes. In the Techno trim, the Scénic comes with new seating made from PET fabric composed of over 95% recycled fibers, paired with black textured fabric on the dashboard. The Esprit Alpine trim features new decorative inserts in a “Spectral Titanium” effect, with a gradient from black to shades inspired by the spectrum.
It is bright.Enhanced driving assistance
To enhance safety, the Scénic will feature improved driving assistance systems. The speed regulator and Active Driver Assist have been upgraded to provide more precise analysis of traffic conditions. The new Multi Target function analyzes multiple vehicles and trajectories simultaneously to better anticipate lane changes. This makes driving smoother, especially in heavy traffic. Additionally, the Scénic now includes an advanced driver monitoring system that uses an interior camera to detect fatigue and distraction. To reduce accident risks, Renault has also improved the Safety Score and Safety Coach safety tools. Regarding features, the new Smart mode replaces the previous Perso mode in Multi-Sense. It can automatically switch between Eco and C modes.

To make the in-car experience even simpler and more intuitive, Renault is also improving the connectivity of the Scénic. With Google Maps, route planning now includes new customization options. Users can select the charging network, the power of the chargers, or the payment method. Customers can also choose to activate Gemini, the AI-powered assistant. The Scénic also comes equipped with a “Qi2” standard induction charger, compatible with latest-generation smartphones. On a positive note, not all the improvements to the Scénic result in higher prices. The price of the entry-level version even drops by 2,000 euros, bringing it below 40,000 euros before the “CEE subsidy” is applied. This minimum subsidy amounts to 4,830 euros and can go up to 8,240 euros.
