Citroën Outdoor: A new rugged look for the C3, C3 Aircross, and Ami

Citroën offers a new Outdoor trim for the C3 and C3 Aircross, as well as a limited edition with the same name for the Ami. It features an aesthetic upgrade with redesigned bumpers, red accents, and a more rugged appearance. But the Ami still has a real novelty in store...

Roof racks, plastic protections, styling elements... Automakers have long known that certain off-road features can sometimes be enough to spark customers’ desire for adventure. Citroën has decided to apply this approach to three of its most affordable models with a new theme called Outdoor.

C3 and C3 Aircross that look more adventurous... on the surface

The C3 and C3 Aircross Outdoor, positioned above the Max trim level, feature new bumpers, a large gray protective panel shaped like a horseshoe, infrared buttons, and new 17-inch alloy wheels. A Green Sequoia color option is also added to the lineup. Inside, the Advanced Comfort seats come in a special version with red stitching, while the seat belts are also red. The C3 also receives front parking sensors.

However, it’s not meant to compete with a true 4×4. The changes are mainly aesthetic and related to equipment. The Citroën ë-C3 Outdoor retains its 113 hp electric motor and still claims a range of 323 km. On the other hand, the Citroën ë-C3 Aircross Outdoor is available only with the “extended range” battery, offering an advertised range of 397 km. The SUV also gets functional roof rails and LED fog lights.

A convertible roof for the Citroën Ami

The transformation is more interesting on the Citroën Ami. This Outdoor limited edition features a Khaki Green color, white wheels, several stickers, a small front bumper, and most importantly, a convertible roof. This is the first time an Ami has been equipped with a convertible roof—until now, this feature was reserved for the Ami Buggy. It certainly makes a big impression!
