Citroën C5 Aircross Émeraude: a new special edition with a Breton flair

Citroën has added a special edition to the C5 Aircross lineup. Named Émeraude, this new variant stands out with an unprecedented blue color, several unique aesthetic details, and enhanced features. It’s a clear nod to the Emerald Coast!

One year after the refresh of the C5 Aircross, Citroën aims to maintain interest in its popular family SUV. This time, the French brand is relying on a special edition called Émeraude. It will be officially unveiled on September 10 at the Breton Economic Forum, with sales set to begin in October 2026.

A nod to Brittany

The name was not chosen randomly. The C5 Aircross is assembled at Stellantis’ factory in Rennes-La Janais, located just a few dozen kilometers from the Emerald Coast. Citroën uses this special edition to highlight its SUV’s French origins. This Breton facility has been producing the brand’s vehicles for over 60 years.

The main novelty is naturally this Emerald Blue color. It comes with matching accents on the front bumper and door guards, as well as a special badge. A small French flag appears on the rear trunk lid. Those who prefer discretion can choose from black, gray, white, or green.

This version builds on the PLUS finish already available in the range. The interior features some blue decorative details, especially on the seats and dashboard, but it’s primarily the standard equipment that improves. The driver benefits from an electrically adjustable seat, while both front seats and the steering wheel become heated.

Citroën also adds wireless smartphone charging, a hands-free power tailgate, and a central armrest for rear passengers. The Pack Drive Assist 2.0 complements the package with lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring up to 75 meters, and semi-automatic lane-changing support.

Three powertrains available

The C5 Aircross Émeraude is available as a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and a 100% electric version. However, we lack one crucial piece of information: the price. The brand has not yet released any details on this, but it should be announced soon. The PLUS trim starts at 41,320 € for the 100% electric version, so we can expect a slightly higher price.
