Chery launches the cheapest hybrid SUVs in their category in France

The Chinese brand Chery is opening its first dealerships in France and revealing the prices of its first hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs.

As the Chinese automaker with the strongest growth in Europe over the past 18 months, Chery Group has focused so far on its Omoda and Jaecoo brands. It is now adding Chery, offering even more affordable prices.

The brand will be prominently featured at the Porte de Versailles during October’s World Motor Show, where it will display its full range of vehicles, including the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7, and Tiggo 8. The price of the smallest and cheapest model will be announced soon, while the prices for the other two models are already known.

Following Omoda and Jaecoo, Chery continues to expand its presence in France with a new more affordable brand.

The Tiggo 7, equipped with a 221 hp hybrid engine, is priced at 26,990 €. This is 3,000 € less than its counterpart, the Jaecoo 7, which has similar dimensions. With a 275 hp rechargeable hybrid engine, the price difference rises to 3,500 €, bringing the listed price to 32,490 €. The PHEV version features a 18.4 kWh battery, offering an electric range of 90 km.

The largest model in the series is the Tiggo 8. It is a large 7-seater SUV with a length of 4.72 meters, powered solely by a 275 hp rechargeable hybrid engine. It is priced starting at 38,990 € and claims to be the cheapest 7-seater PHEV vehicle on the market.

In addition to its pricing, Chery has announced the list of its first 56 dealerships in France. The manufacturer also aims to reassure customers regarding the challenging issue of spare parts supply by highlighting a logistics center in France.

Its vehicles come with a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty including roadside assistance, as well as an 8-year/160,000 km warranty on the battery (75% of SOC).
