Chery Delivero: What can China’s new vans do?

New trucks from China – but can Chery also succeed in the fleet business? At the 2026 IAA Transportation in Hannover, Chery Commercial Vehicles presented not only concept vehicles but also production models with the Delivan for the first time. Our reporter Marie-Kristin Wricke took a closer look at these trucks and especially the new brand’s strategy for Europe.
The Delivan represents a wide range of trucks with various configurations. Yet Chery aims to offer more than just vehicles: the company positions Delivan as a “Data Intelligence Company” and promises a comprehensive package including charging, service, maintenance, and other services for fleet customers.
The entry into the European market is also taking shape. The European headquarters is located in Liverpool, and a German subsidiary is being established. For any necessary vehicle modifications, Delivan relies on European partners, including companies from Germany.
Orders are expected to be possible starting in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the first deliveries scheduled for 2027. Germany is among the first markets planned for entry.
Yet key questions remain for fleet operators: Who will handle service and repairs? How reliable are customized solutions? And what is the residual value of these vehicles after several years of use?
Marie-Kristin Wricke will show you the new trucks and explain the strategy Chery Delivan plans to use to establish itself in Europe.
