ChargePoint launches incentive program for resellers

US charging specialist ChargePoint introduces its “Channel Partner Program,” which provides European distributors with tiered pricing, growth bonuses, and marketing budgets. In return, ChargePoint expects high levels of business commitment as well as completion of required training and certifications.

ChargePoint will launch this initiative in the UK, France, the DACH region, the Benelux countries, and the Nordic countries. Resellers are expected to receive financial incentives, project protection, marketing resources, and technical training through the new partner program. Participants can advance through three partner levels based on annual sales and completion of core training and certifications: “By moving up from Bronze to Silver to Gold, partners receive increasing discounts on charging hardware, software subscriptions, and services, as well as performance-based bonuses that reward business growth,” the statement says.
The offer is available to all authorized ChargePoint distribution partners. Companies that have not yet reached the partner status can still “take advantage of many services through ChargePoint’s wholesale channel,” according to the company. This partnership initiative already reflects the approach of John Saffrett, ChargePoint’s new European head. Just recently, Saffrett emphasized in an electrive interview that Europe is becoming increasingly important for ChargePoint’s global success.
In the context of the new program, Saffrett says the following: “The shift to electric mobility also depends on how strong the ecosystem is that provides companies and fleets with charging infrastructure. With our new partner program, we help distributors build a sustainable business with recurring revenue. At the same time, their customers can install charging infrastructure more quickly and operate it more efficiently. By investing in the growth of our partners, we strengthen the entire value chain surrounding electric vehicle charging.”
The U.S. provider also emphasizes that the new partner program “unlike traditional hardware-focused partner programs, integrates charging hardware, cloud software, services, training, marketing support, and business planning under one framework.” ChargePoints’ Europa portfolio includes both AC charging solutions such as the CP6000 and the recently introduced DC product line Express, including the Express Solo with a charging capacity of up to 600 kW.
